“What now? The two overlords have arrived together, there’s no way this will end peacefully.” Even as Qin Yao frowned, she still carried an irresistible charm. The only thing she felt somewhat thankful for was that the powerful being from the Northern Region, the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch, was present. Without him, the Peacock Monarch would be completely outmatched.
“Qin Yao, get away from here now. It’s going to be extremely dangerous,” Ye Fan sent a voice transmission quietly.
“Come with me,” Qin Yao urged.
“I don’t think I can leave today. Even the Peacock Monarch won’t be able to protect me,” Ye Fan said calmly, with neither fear nor panic.
Since the Ji Clan had openly declared that even if the Radiant Light Sacred Lord acquired the Grand Void Art, they would still find a way to retrieve it, then now, with them storming this place, there was no way they’d let him go.
He was undoubtedly a top-priority target. With the Ji Clan’s Patriarch personally showing up, not even the Peacock Monarch could keep him safe. Taking Ye Fan away would be tantamount to taking part of the Void Scripture, that would be a fight to the death.
“What secret technique did you steal from the Ji Clan?” Qin Yao asked.
“Don’t ask. The more you know, the more likely the Ji Clan will hunt you too. Go, before it’s too late!”
Qin Yao grabbed his wrist and said, “Come with me. You don’t have to do this alone.”
Ye Fan shook his head. “You go first. I have my own plan.”
Seeing him insist, Qin Yao glanced back at him and gave a dazzling smile. “Be careful. You have to survive. If you want to go on a killing spree, you’d better grow up safe and strong first.”
More and more figures appeared in this space, not just from the Ji Clan and the Radiant Light Sacred Ground, but even powerhouses from the Supreme Mystery Sect and Freespirit Sect had arrived.
This was an unimaginably large force. Densely packed figures filled the sky, all here to encircle and annihilate the Peacock Monarch.
If not for the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch being here, the Peacock Monarch likely would have met his end today. Even so, the situation was dire.
The Ji Clan’s Patriarch, merged with the void, his presence like the eternal Dao, his voice ethereal and deep, as though coming from the far reaches of time: “Peacock Monarch, before we settle things, I want one person.”
Ye Fan didn’t even need to think to know the target was him.
As expected, someone as mighty as the Ji Clan’s Patriarch had spoken his name. Normally, a cultivator would feel honored. But Ye Fan didn’t even have the mood to cry. Being singled out like this was basically being marked for death.
“You’re sure you want me to hand over this youth?” the Peacock Monarch asked meaningfully.
“Absolutely,” Patriarch Ji replied, his two syllables ringing like divine thunder. In the depths of space, many demon cultivators staggered, almost collapsing from the pressure.
The Peacock Monarch let out a cold laugh and looked over the crowd. “Don’t think that just because your Ji Clan is filled with experts that you are unmatched. If you kill him, I guarantee you’ll have a serious problem.”
Everyone, not just those from the Ji Clan, was shocked.
“Nonsense!” a Ji Clan elder shouted from afar.
“Ye Fan, come here,” the Peacock Monarch beckoned.
Ye Fan could only ascend to the sky and stand before him, unsure of what he planned. In that instant, he felt countless killing intents lock onto him, most from the Ji Clan.
The Peacock Monarch laughed out loud, his words striking like thunder: “If you kill him... all your so-called ‘foundations’ might mean nothing, unless your Ji Clan has an undying Godly Monarch who can crawl out of the grave… otherwise... heh.”
Were there really such people? Someone who dared to challenge the Ji Clan head-on? No one believed it.
After all, great forces like the Radiant Light Sacred Ground and the Ji Clan had unfathomable depths.
“Ye Fan, show them your footwork,” said the Peacock Monarch, a faint smile on his handsome face.
At this point, Ye Fan understood what he had to do, wave the biggest flag he could and bluff his way out! He immediately left afterimages in the sky, displaying the footwork passed to him by the mad old man.
Patriarch Ji said nothing, merely standing silently.
The Radiant Light Sacred Lord, surrounded by radiant halos, each resembling a world, asked calmly, “Young man, who taught you this footwork?”
“It was my Big Brother, the Madman,” Ye Fan replied with confidence.
The Peacock Monarch almost tripped. Internally, he cursed, this brat was going too far. Even he had to respectfully call the old madman “senior” when they met.
The Radiant Light Sacred Lord didn’t speak. Though his face was hidden by light, his silence made it clear he was stunned. The Patriarch Ji showed no reaction, seemingly dissolved into the void.
“And who is this madman you speak of?” a Ji Clan elder asked.
“A crazy, pitiful old man, people say he’s lived for six thousand years,” Ye Fan said calmly. “My Big Brother’s a bit unfortunate, lost his mind, gets confused sometimes…”
You little punk! Even the Peacock Monarch was speechless. Calling someone like that “Big Brother”? That was a figure from six thousand years ago!
“My Big Brother’s heart is full of sorrow... he can’t forget the past… My Big Brother, he, ”
Ye Fan kept spouting nonsense, ignoring everyone’s reactions.
Eventually, the Peacock Monarch couldn’t take it anymore and transmitted privately, “Brat, are you addicted to calling him Big Brother? You’re asking for a beating. A lot of people probably want to strangle you right now.”
“Utter nonsense!” a Ji Clan elder yelled. “That madman is a figure of great stature! How dare you disrespect him!”
“Well, if you don’t believe me, that’s not my problem,” Ye Fan shrugged and struck another mysterious step.
This only made everyone more speechless. It was clear he was intentionally putting on a show to suggest a close relationship with the madman.
In fact, many had already guessed, Ye Fan must have some connection with the old madman. But not even fools would believe he was actually his Big Brother.
“Don’t think you’re safe,” the Peacock Monarch warned him privately. “Even if no one dares provoke the madman openly, once chaos breaks out, someone might still try to kill you.”
“And don’t think the Ji Clan doesn’t know, they’ve hunted you before. They’re just pretending not to know right now.”
Ye Fan was chilled inside. He had already guessed as much. His situation was still dangerous. The only comfort was that the two overlords probably wouldn’t act against him directly.
“My Big Brother, the madman, said he’d fight me again soon,” Ye Fan said out loud.
Damn you! Many wanted to shout those exact words.
At this moment, the two overlords completely ignored him, as if he didn’t exist.
Patriarch Ji shouted, “Peacock Monarch, you’ve provoked the Ji Clan long enough. Today, you won’t escape your fate!”
Now, only strength would determine the outcome.
The Patriarch Ji struck out in the void, a simple, direct blow that cracked the very space created by ancient sages. It was about to collapse completely.
At the same time, the Radiant Light Sacred Lord stepped forward. “Peacock Monarch, you escaped me eight hundred years ago. You won’t today!”
The Peacock Monarch laughed. “I soar across the world. Who dares block me?”
His hair flew wildly, each step he took resonated with the heavens, sending out strange pulses.
Boom! Boom!
Behind the two overlords, people began exploding, turning into blood mist, shattered by the shock of the Peacock Monarch’s steps.
In mere moments, over a hundred cultivators were pulverized, reduced to red mist without ever realizing what hit them.
The power of a demon powerhouse was now fully revealed, he had locked down the battlefield.
Meanwhile, the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch stepped forward to stand alongside the Peacock Monarch, facing the two overlords.
“Kill, , !”
The battle cry shook the heavens. A full-scale war had erupted!
No doubt, this would be a bloody conflict. The Peacock Monarch and Azure Flood Dragon Monarch chose not to flee. They fought to give the demon cultivators a chance to survive, holding off the two overlords and the many elders attacking.
Ye Fan turned and fled. Even “Big Brother Madman” wouldn’t help now. With the chaos erupting, many would want to take this chance to kill him.
Fortunately, the two overlords didn’t attack him directly, letting him escape the center of the battlefield.
“You there, punk, stop right now!” Hundreds pursued him, young disciples of the Ji Clan.
Last time, Ye Fan had arrogantly shouted at the Ji Clan to “get lost,” and now he had become their sworn enemy.
How could he fight back? Hundreds were chasing him. If each one spit on him, he’d drown. Ye Fan ran as fast as he could, not a chance of fighting back.
“Brat, stop if you’ve got guts!”
“You damn geezer, catch me if you’ve got skills!” Ye Fan replied without breaking a sweat, running faster.
“Ye scoundrel! Stop! Grandma here will give you a hundred rounds and still capture you!” a female Ji disciple shouted.
“Don’t chase me. You’re too ugly, I don’t want to touch you!” Ye Fan jeered as he ran.
Some of the female disciples were furious, but they really couldn’t catch up. His mysterious footwork left them in the dust.
“Ye scoundrel, you’re the public enemy of our Ji Clan’s younger generation! Even if you flee to the ends of the earth, we’ll kill you!”
“You guys still half-asleep? Talking nonsense. Go home and get some rest,” Ye Fan mocked.
He didn’t dare talk more. He had shaken off most of the low-level disciples, but dozens of strong ones still chased silently.
“Ji Hui, you old hag! You’re still clinging on?!” Ye Fan was shocked to see Ji Hui and several elders personally chasing him.
Ji Hui’s face was dark and silent. With the Peacock Monarch unable to intervene, she didn’t believe Ye Fan could escape.
A burst of charming laughter rang out, crisp and pleasant like pearls falling on jade. The soft voice said, “Little Ye, don’t run. Big sister will protect you.”
Ye Fan looked back to see a tall, incredibly sexy woman. A green moon hovered above her head, and she walked calmly on five-colored lightning, keeping pace with the top elders.
She wore a green dress, her figure curvaceous and seductive, skin pale and flawless. Despite pursuing him, she oozed allure. Her large, watery eyes sparkled, her lips bitten gently, adding to her charm.
“Who the hell are you?”
“I’m Ji Biyue,” she replied sweetly, without the slightest killing intent.
Damn, it’s her! Ye Fan’s heart chilled. This seductive woman had even tried to kill her own sister, clearly a ruthless one.
Just then, Ye Fan saw Hua Yunfei also chasing, gliding like a cloud, his blue robe fluttering, otherworldly and noble.
At the same time, the Radiant Light Saintess appeared, like a blossoming lotus, radiant skin and divine aura. Her white dress fluttered like a goddess descending from the moon palace.
“Hey, Radiant Light lady, why are you chasing me too?” Ye Fan called out.
The Saintess, with a stunning smile that made all flowers seem dull in comparison, sent a voice transmission: “Little Ye, why run? Come with me to Radiant Light Sacred Ground, no one can touch you there, not even the Ji Clan.”
