Ch. 34 - Talent

Ren Qianbo's wife was easy to enquire about. Anyone could tell that in recent years, there were beauty salons and a Hong Kong-style teahouse in the vicinity of the Wan Yuan Food Factory.

There was only one Hong Kong-style teahouse in the locality and one next to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Lu Feng realized it was easy to find someone in this era, a benefit of an undeveloped city.

If it were in the next 20 to 30 years, who knows how many Hong Kong-style tea houses there would be. He turned to look at Datou and Han Dong, “Get in the car, I'll treat you to dinner tonight. You should eat some high-quality food to broaden your horizons."

The two of them hurriedly got into the car, they then headed straight for the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The guests who came here to eat were mostly from the south on a business trip, and therefore, could not get used to it. Some came here just to pretend to be rich. They were like kids in a KFC.

Lu Feng walked in and looked around. His eyes were fixed on a woman in her forties. He sat down at a nearby table.

"Thunder Monkey, please order!"(1) The waiter was speaking local Cantonese and Lu Feng's scalp went numb.

Datou and Han Dong were nervous. They felt the restaurant was even more expensive than the Tianyue Hotel next to it. They whispered, “Do you speak Cantonese? What if he doesn't understand?"

Lu Feng almost laughed when he heard their conversation. He ordered noodles, shrimp dumplings, and so on. After ordering the meal, he poured a cup of tea and looked at the woman in front of him.

The woman in her forties was still eating alone. She was truly pitiful.

The other party could clearly feel it as well. They looked over with some confusion and the atmosphere became more subtle. As the dishes were served, Lu Feng lowered his head and ate. Next to him was a table that hosted a few old men; he could not understand them.

Finally, she could not help but stand up and walk over. “Do you know me?"

"That's my man. Are you friends with him?"

Han Dong snorted and the rice roll in his mouth sprayed out. You've already said it, yet you're still not saying it?

"Which fox did he hook up with again?" The woman's hands trembled in anger. Clearly, this son-in-law had completely lost control. She stared at Lu Feng and said, “Could that shameless thing be with your wife?"

Datou also spat out.

He sighed and sighed about the so-called love. Lu Feng lowered his head to eat and observed the conversation at the table beside him as it got louder.

"Are you from Wahaha?" Lu Feng turned around and asked.

The chatter of the four or five people came to an abrupt end. They looked at Lu Feng and nodded. “That's right, do you know Wahaha?"

"I've been to Zhejiang before. Are any of you guys called Gao Zhiwei?" Lu Feng probed again.

"CEO Gao, you know him?" Everyone looked at a man in his thirties. This man was staring at Lu Feng with question marks all over his face. He was sure that he did not know him.

Lu Feng had never met Gao Zhiwei. He just knew that there was such a person. Furthermore, Gao Zhiwei had left Wahaha after 2005. He heard that he had gone to the United States to invest.

"Are there many people called Gao Zhiwei?" Lu Feng asked.

"I think I'm the only one. What's wrong?" Gao Zhiwei was puzzled.

Lu Feng's lips curled into a wretched smile. This talent didn’t bump his arms for no reason. Datou and Han Dong understood their boss’s intentions when they saw him with that familiar smile.

"I promise you; he's going to lie again," Datou whispered confidently.

"I think so too!" Han Dong agreed.

Lu Feng knew the current Wahaha was a large enterprise. This kind of enterprise's development prospects were great. It was impossible for someone to leave his job for a small factory that had not been established.

Besides, Lu Feng could not think of another way to stay in such a city.

"When I returned to China this year, my father spoke to your boss on the phone. Please don't think of my father as an overseas Chinese; he takes good care of the rising stars in the country. Your boss thinks highly of you!" Lu Feng's tone was very emphatic. He sounded like an overseas Chinese.

"Really? Chief Zong is a very good person."

"However, he's more optimistic about someone else. He just thinks that you're not bad. I don't think you're developing too much, but please don't be discouraged." After Lu Feng finished speaking, he stared into the other party's eyes. It was his usual method to strike first.
