Ch. 172 - Worse Than A Beast

The Radiant Light Saintess, half enchantress, half angel, possessed an unparalleled grace. Though adorned with captivating charm, she was enveloped in a holy radiance, exuding an exceptionally unique aura.

Her beauty could make fish sink and geese fall, outshine the moon, and humble flowers. Combined with her nearly contradictory temperament, she appeared utterly mesmerizing, capable of captivating all who beheld her.

“I choose neither!” Yao Xi’s eyes, like black gems, shot out rays of auspicious light, her entire being ethereal. Though only a few wisps of her divine sense had broken free, she still displayed formidable strength.

A cold smile played on Ye Fan’s lips. The golden lake at his forehead split off another wisp of divine sense, charging toward the Radiant Light Saintess to extinguish those few strands.

“Unless your divine sense stays forever in the ‘Lunar Palace,’ I’ll annihilate every wisp that emerges!”

The golden beam swept through like mercury, pervasive and unyielding, scouring every inch of space to hunt down Yao Xi’s divine sense.

At the same time, his arm tightened, suppressing her soft body, countering the powerful surges of divine energy.

Yao Xi’s divine sense flickered out, her attempt to hide thwarted as the light in her eyes dimmed.

“You can’t escape!” Ye Fan shouted, his golden beam blazing intensely, sweeping through in an instant.

The Saintess let out a cry as her few wisps of divine sense were sealed and obliterated on the spot.

“Ye Fan, you dare treat me like this!” Her voice was icy, faint divine sense fluctuations emanating from her forehead, her transmitted thoughts like a chilling wind carrying snow, piercingly cold.

“I’ll ask again, what’s your choice?” Ye Fan, holding her, crossed a stone arch bridge and entered a pavilion, sitting on a stone stool with her slender waist firmly in his grip.

“Aren’t you afraid the Radiant Light Sacred Ground will make you perish, body and soul?” she snapped.

“All I know is that if I don’t control you, I’m as good as dead. You’ve already done this to me, what restraint should I have? I have no reservations.” Ye Fan tightened his hold on her waist.

“Can’t we come to another agreement?” Yao Xi was genuinely afraid. Usually, everything was under her control, poised and confident, but now she felt uneasy.

“What agreement? Let the tiger return to the mountain to haunt me later?” Ye Fan sneered. “I’ve already killed a Supreme Elder of the Ji Clan, offending such a colossal clan. Do you think I’d fear adding Radiant Light Sacred Ground to the list?”

“Are you set on destroying me?” Her divine sense fluctuated.

“I won’t kill you. Let me control your divine sense, and I think we can get along well.” Ye Fan applied slight force, pulling her soft body onto his lap.

Yao Xi screamed, “Ye Fan, don’t go too far! Controlling my divine sense would leave me at your mercy!”

Ye Fan smirked, “I keep my word. All I want is to survive. You forced me into this.”

His other hand traced over her body, eliciting another cry.

“Ye Fan, stop!” A wisp of her divine sense re-entered her body, sharply aware of his actions.

As his hand glided over her, goosebumps rose on her skin. She said coldly, “Your terms are too harsh.”

“If they’re not harsh, how do I survive?” Ye Fan lifted her chin, half-smiling. “You’re as beautiful as a flower, evoking pity. If you don’t decide soon, we might as well consummate the marriage. Having you for myself wouldn’t be so bad.”

“You… shameless!”

Yao Xi was furious. As the revered Radiant Light Saintess, she was a lofty figure in the Southern Region, admired and looked up to by many.

Ye Fan’s smile deepened as his fingers brushed her silky cheek. “Make your choice.”

Her skin was smooth as satin, warm and lustrous like jade, radiant as a pearl, exuding an unmatched allure.

“I won’t agree to any terms!” Yao Xi’s divine sense surged violently.

Ye Fan laughed, “Good, good, good. Then you’re choosing the second option. Let’s consummate the marriage.”

Yao Xi screamed, her dark hair dancing, like a fallen angel descending, her eyes misty. A few wisps of divine sense surged out, attempting a secret technique to kill Ye Fan.

Simultaneously, her body glowed with divine light, shimmering like fine jade, brimming with divine power.

Ye Fan conjured several wisps of divine sense to extinguish hers, while his fist struck her body.

Despite his formidable physique, he couldn’t break her immortal form, his indestructible fist blocked by a radiant barrier.

Fists capable of shattering spiritual treasures failed to harm her. A mysterious starry sky flickered on her body, faintly visible, deflecting his blows.

“What is this?” Ye Fan wondered.

He struck repeatedly, but the starry sky, like a divine battle garment, misty and sacred, blocked his force.

“Ye Fan, we can sit down and talk properly,” Yao Xi said, her body enveloped in light, stars twinkling across her.

Ye Fan ignored her, extinguishing all but one wisp of her divine sense, allowing her to speak.

“This is the Radiant Light Sacred Ground’s Saintess Battle Garment. You can never break it.”

“Saintess Battle Garment? I don’t need to break it, I’ll just remove the other layer.” Ye Fan tore off a section of her sleeve.

“You…” Yao Xi was enraged by his words and startled by his actions.

“I think peeling off the outer garment is easier than shattering the Saintess Battle Garment.” Ye Fan’s movements were gentle but resolute.

Another sleeve tore, fluttering like a butterfly outside the pavilion.

With one hand holding Yao Xi, Ye Fan’s other hand moved deliberately, as if preparing to open a treasure chest to admire a gem.

The sleeve fell like scattered flowers, revealing a jade-like arm, dazzlingly white, like a lotus rising from water, warm as jade, with graceful curves, stunningly beautiful.

A flawless work of art, her arm was pristine, faintly glowing, embodying icy skin and jade bones, utterly captivating.

“A truly perfect body,” Ye Fan commented softly.

To Yao Xi, his words rang like clashing swords, her emotions surging. This was beyond anything she could have imagined.

“Ye Fan, do you know what you’re doing?” she asked, trying to keep her tone steady.

“Of course. I’m admiring a beauty’s bare arm. It’s a pity there’s no wine or feast, or I’d raise a grand toast.”

“You…” His nonchalance fueled her shame and anger.

Ye Fan’s hand glided over her jade arm, feeling its softness and luster. “A feast for the eyes, no need for wine or delicacies. The Radiant Light Saintess alone is enough.”

“Don’t act recklessly!” Yao Xi’s expression was tense. Usually alluring and seductive, she now felt only unease, devoid of charm.

“Don’t worry, I never act recklessly,” Ye Fan said with a smile. “I’m always thorough.”

With that, he carefully tore off the other sleeve. Another jade arm glimmered with faint light, radiant and captivating.

“Ye Fan!”

“I said I’d be thorough. Trust me.” He paused, then added, “No wonder they say, ‘I desire both the world and the beauty.’ With such a divine body before me, I’d choose the beauty over the world.”

“You scoundrel!” Yao Xi was on the verge of losing it.

Her arms bare, sitting on Ye Fan’s lap, her soft body in close contact, feeling his warmth, she was consumed with rage.

Ye Fan held her slender waist, turning her back to him. His fingers moved lightly, and fragments of her dress fell like petals, arcing gracefully to the side.

Her pristine back, crystalline and glowing, was exposed, a flush of red spreading across her tender skin. So close to Ye Fan, her fragrance, like orchids and musk, wafted over.

Though Yao Xi often acted like an enchantress, faced with this situation, she couldn’t let go, overwhelmed by shame and anger.

“Ye… Fan, you!” Her voice trembled.

Another soft tear, and more of her dress fell away, fully exposing her back. Her vast expanse of jade-like skin, crystalline and lustrous, was like a perfect work of art.

“You must understand, I’m the sole Saintess of Radiant Light Sacred Ground. If you go too far, there’ll be no turning back!” Facing away from Ye Fan, sitting on his lap, her jade skin felt his breath, warm against her back.

“I’ve always forged ahead without looking back,” Ye Fan said with a smile. “There’s a saying from my homeland: Beast or worse than a beast?”

“You’re worse than a beast!” Yao Xi snapped, her voice quivering.

“Do nothing, and they call you worse than a beast. Do something, and they just call you a beast.” Ye Fan shook his head, laughing. “Seems it applies everywhere.”

“You…”

“Rest assured, I’m doing this very seriously,” Ye Fan replied, his eyes clear, devoid of intoxication. His fingers glided over her jade-like skin, warm and silky, but he remained utterly lucid.

Hiss!

Ye Fan tore away the front of her dress, tossing it skyward. His hands moved to her front, feeling the warmth, yet his gaze grew even clearer.

Suddenly, a surge of killing intent erupted!

Yao Xi ceased trembling, her demeanor turning calm and icy. Divine light burst from her sea of consciousness.

“I’ve been waiting for you to come out!” Ye Fan’s golden lake at his forehead transformed into a blazing sun, enveloping the space ahead.

“I knew you were acting. Radiant Light Saintess, you still have no chance!”

His divine sense formed a golden celestial sword, slashing relentlessly, shattering beams of divine light.

“I thought you’d wait until the last moment to emerge, but it seems you can’t let go after all.”

Though her divine sense was blocked, Yao Xi’s expression was cold as ice, her stunning face devoid of emotion. Her powerful divine sense clashed with Ye Fan’s, striving to break through the golden sun.

Ye Fan sneered, his hands roaming freely over her bare upper body, unrestrained.

“You…”

“I told you, I’m serious,” Ye Fan said coldly. “Did you think I was truly enamored by your beauty?”

“Let go!” Yao Xi, sensing his actions, her skin flushed pink, was consumed with shame and fury.

“Of course, I wouldn’t mind something delightful happening between us.” Ye Fan’s voice was calm, his divine sense burning like fire, enveloping Yao Xi’s consciousness. “If I can control your divine sense, I’ll spare your life. Surrender now.”
