Ch. 97 - The Palace of Paintings Emerges

In the stillness of the long night, a cold wind swept across the mountaintop.

It brushed gently over the hills, causing the tall trees on either side to sway. Soft silver moonlight cascaded down like water.

A young man sat on the hillside with a sword at his waist and a jug of strong wine in his hand. He drank slowly, letting the cold wind wash over him.

The fiery alcohol brought a little warmth to his heart.

Chu Yang looked down at the wanted poster in his hand with a wry smile, his mind still in a daze.

“You’ve probably been framed,” said the Lord of Samsara with a sigh.

“I can go explain myself to them and clear things up.” Chu Yang said firmly.

“It won’t work. The moment you show up, they’ll try to kill you,” the Lord of Samsara replied. “Life is cheap to them. They’d rather kill the wrong person than let someone go. These so-called major sects are often more ruthless and tyrannical than ordinary folk.”

“But I can’t hide like this forever,” Chu Yang said helplessly.

“That’s nothing. I can teach you disguise techniques,” the Lord of Samsara chuckled. “My method is highly advanced, unless someone is an Imperial Meridian Realm cultivator with True Fate, most people won’t see through it.”

At the Sacred Spring Sect, the inner court tournament had concluded successfully. Grand Elder Tianzhen was preparing to return to the True Martial Sacred Ground with his group aboard the Sageship.

“Why?” asked the elder, puzzled.

“Alright then, just be careful,” Grand Elder Tianzhen replied after giving Xu Zimo a long, thoughtful look before boarding the ship with the others.

The match against Mo Lei had changed how Grand Elder Tianzhen viewed Xu Zimo.

Of course, everyone has their secrets, but the elder believed Xu Zimo was far from ordinary.

Xu Zimo set out alone, having declined Xiao Guizi’s offer to accompany him.

Of course, besides her personal capability, this success was also due to Xu Zimo’s substantial support in resources.
