Ch. 28 - Kick The Door

Today was the worst day of business since the workshop started production. The night shift workers had arrived and were dumbfounded as they looked at the piled-up goods.

Han Dong was a responsible man. He walked to Lu Feng's side and said, "Boss, if you really can't do it, just let the night shift workers rest for a bit. We’re storing up so much stuff; they’re afraid we won't be able to sell it."

"No need, continue the production. The fruits are already here; they will rot if not processed soon." Lu Feng waved, and Datou walked over. "Tomorrow morning, we'll compromise and increase the commission to 4 cents. Release the news tonight. If they come, we'll load their cars."

Two days ago, they were scared to even think about the current condition; but now, they did not think much of it. Even if it turned to five or six cents, they could do nothing.

After giving the order, the night shift workers started their respective work. Lu Feng was about to head home when Ren Qianbo’s car drove by the workshop; its speed was very slow. He looked at the vendors loading the goods in small numbers and smiled.

Lu Feng also saw him but chose to ignore him. He rode his motorcycle home. Ren Qianbo stepped on the accelerator to follow him. Lu Feng slowed down, afraid of being in an accident.

if it weren't for the intense competition in this market, the profit would still be around 200 to 300 thousand dollars a month. This amount was enough to drive an ordinary person crazy.

"Boss Lu is going home?" Ren Qianbo asked as he drove his car slowly beside Lu Feng.

"I won't waste time with you. Go home and take good care of your wife and children. Remember to close the door when you sleep at night." Ren Qianbo finished speaking and flew his car away, leaving behind the dust in his surroundings.

Lu Feng could not see the road ahead. He stopped his motorcycle with a gloomy expression. Rian Qianbo just threatened him!

Wu Hongyu returned at noon and bragged in the unit building. He told people everywhere that Lu Feng was finished and his lucky days would end soon.

He even boasted that he would be a lead manager in the Wanyuan Factory, and he would manage to recruit some of his friends under him.

Wu Hongyu was not the only one who was angry. Everyone realized that He Yanli had not come back last night. When she returned this afternoon, she had lots of bags and wore new clothes. They weren’t cheap at all.

Furthermore, they were the same as the ones Jiang Xiaoyan had bought. Almost all residents were chatting about it. After being widowed for so many years, she could be considered a big boss now.

Wu Hongyu's dining table was filled with pig's meat along with a bottle of white wine and three types of stir-fried meals.

The dishes were extravagant. Old Wu (Wu Renyi) put a piece of pork into his mouth and chewed it slowly. He said, "Son, you're too concerned with that widow He Yanli. She's rich. What woman doesn’t have?"

"I know, Dad. I understand now. I'll follow Boss Ren well!" Wu Hongyu took a sip of his wine. His expression was sinister as he swiftly took a bite of his dish said, "F*ck, we both are thirty years old. Now it's my turn. I will be even more awesome than Lu Feng!"

"Son, I don't think you should push Lu Feng too far. If Boss Ren causes Lu Feng to fall, you won’t be able to use him anymore. You have to understand."

"Why do you think your son is so dumb as to follow Boss Ren as a faithful dog?"

Lu Feng rode his motorcycle back and Parked it at his friend’s place. Everyone stayed silent when he passed by. Their gazes fell on him, more or less.

"Wash your hands and prepare for dinner." Jiang Xiaoyan poked her head out and informed.

The dining table: Jiang Xiaoyan talked about happenings in the building today. She glanced at Lu Feng and said, "He Yanli bought a set of clothes that's the same as mine. She swayed around here and there. I heard that she's hooked up with a big boss. She probably gave up on you."

"I don't care about her. What are you thinking?" Lu Feng retorted. "That Wu Hongyu has been going too far lately, spreading rumors that our factory is closing down."

"There's no need to bother. If we really can’t do it, let's move to another place."

Lu Feng also wanted to buy a house; unfortunately, commercial houses weren’t available. Only a worker's house could be built, that too by himself. Commercial houses wouldn't appear until the early 1990s.

Post dinner, Lu Feng coaxed Duo Duo to sleep, and Jiang Xiaoyan washed the dishes. Lu Feng felt a little bored; he considered buying a TV set.

Jiang Xiaoyan was a little absent-minded as she washed the dishes. She turned to look at Lu Feng quietly. Since the last dinner, her treatment at the electronics factory had changed entirely.

Wang Lan would occasionally greet her with a few words of courtesy. The supervisor who had been looking for a fight with her in the past was also polite. She knew it was all because of Lu Feng.

A few girls were chatting at the factory that, when Lu Feng gets rich, he will not bother with Jiang Xiaoyan; she would have to change his mind and make him pay more attention to her. She cannot let him find Little pleasure outside. A couple's life should be harmonious.

Jiang Xiaoyan walked towards Lu Feng's bed in embarrassment. Just as she was about to speak, she suddenly heard the sound of someone kicking the door.
