What is Love?

“How do you take it?”

“I get expired transfusion packs.”

“Oh... so that's why you asked if you'd bitten me.”

"Oh yeah... I did."

“I thought it was a strange thing to ask, but I see what you mean now.”

Mhm, I nod my head in agreement once.

“Yuki, aren't you afraid of me?”

“Why should I be afraid of you?”

“Because I'm not human. I might attack you and drain your blood. I almost bit you that time.”

“But it doesn't matter what part of the body you bite, as long as you can drink the blood, right?”

“Well, yeah, I guess. But I don't want to sink my fangs into a man’s neck... I'm having a normal conversation with you. Yuki, are you okay? Isn't this strange? Wouldn’t you normally be scared if you heard something like this?”

" Why should I be afraid? You're still Marc, right? You wouldn't attack and kill me, would you?"

“Of course not! There's no way I'd kill someone I love!”

“Then it doesn't matter. I like Marc.”

"... Really?"

I look at Yuki.

“I'm not sure why you'd lie about something like this. I'd rather hear it from you. Besides, you told me. You told me you liked me.”

Then, she looks at me with her usual bubbly smile. Yes, I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you how I felt and I hoped you would accept me for who I am, just like this.

You accepted me. Oh, how happy I feel. Now I can give Rick a good report!

“Hey, there’s no transfusion pack in the fridge.”

... I was just thinking about that same thing. When did you get there?

"Oh yeah... I just ran out.”

“What do you do in this kind of situation?"

Oh, Yuki's face is close....

"Oh, I get it from friends.”

"Heh, I see."

Yuki's face looks like she is thinking of something bad.

"Hey! You can bite me. You don't become a vampire just because you got bitten, right?”

“That's true, but...”

“Yes!”

She brushes her hair out of her face and bares her neck at me.

“I heard it feels good to be bitten. Is that true?”

“I’m craving blood now. As you just noticed, I'm out of transfusion packs and haven't had a drink.”

“So, here you go!”

"Yuki... the ecstasy of being bitten is as dangerous as drugs."

I turn my face away from her.

"I'd be happy to do it for you, my vampire.”

With those words, I embrace Yuki. Then I pierce my fangs into her neck.

"Ah! Ahhh~!

A sweet sigh escapes from Yuki's mouth. I take off Yuki's clothes as I drink her blood. The blood flows from the edge of my mouth, and I try to move carefully so as not to stain it. The blood soaks her underwear. I take off her underwear too. I have never been so excited to drink blood before. I retract my fangs and lick the puncture holes with my tongue. This way, I stop the bleeding. When I see Yuki's face, I get excited in another way.

“Marc... it’s okay. Take me."

I take Yuki in my arms and rest her on the bed. Yuki's face is still euphoric. I don't know how I can withstand this! The person I love wants me to take her.

"Yuki, I'm not going to apologize. I'm going to take you.”

With an elated look on her face, Yuki replies.

“Don’t apologize, silly. This is what I want.”

Tonight, we make love. We love each other… I know how you feel. Rick, I understand. Your feelings.

(“It's nice to make love to a human!")

I can picture Rick’s smile.

When I woke up in the morning, Yuki was next to me. Obviously she would be, but I feel kind of happy.

Yuki wakes up too, and we look at each other. She stares at me with that perky smile. Then, she suddenly changes her expression.

“Hey, Marc," she said. “Do the fang marks remain?”

Oh, there they are...

“I think it will remain for the rest of the day.”

“Okay. I'll put a bandage over it, then no one would be able to figure out what it is."

"Yes, yes, I'll put it on you. Yuki, is your blood RH-negative by any chance?”
