“Your Ocean Dragon Prince wanted to exterminate our True Martial Sacred Ground. Were we supposed to kneel and wait to die?” Willow Ancestor said coldly. “We are simply returning the favor.”
“There must be some misunderstanding,” Situ said.
“Misunderstanding? Then tell me this, National Preceptor, when our True Martial Sacred Ground was destroyed, did your Ancient Dragon God-Empire have a hand in it?” Willow Ancestor asked.
Situ gave a dismissive laugh. “Daoist Willow, your accusation casts a very wide net. Back then, we were only drinking the soup. If you have the guts, go after the ones who were eating the meat.”
“Don’t worry. We’ll visit every last one of them,” Willow Ancestor said coldly. “We’ll sweep through them all, but before that, we’ll use you as the appetizer.”
“In that case, there’s nothing left to discuss,” Situ replied with a snort.
He waved his hand. A massive star appeared around him, swirling with power. With a thunderous boom, he hurled the star downward. It fell from the heavens, covering the sky.
Willow Ancestor snorted and struck upward with both palms. Spirit energy gathered like a devouring whale, forming a colossal heavenly palm that grabbed for the star. The clash echoed through the void with roaring thunder.
With a final explosive “bang,” starforce shattered. The giant palm and the falling star collided and burst apart. The fragmented star split into countless smaller stars, each shooting into the sky and lodging in the heavens.
Situ stepped forward through the air, his aura erupting. With a wave of his hand, the power of heaven and earth condensed at his fingertips.
Willow Ancestor also struck out. In a span of mere seconds, the two exchanged dozens of blows, both being knocked back.
Situ frowned. He could clearly feel it, Willow Ancestor had grown far stronger. He could now match him evenly, whereas in the past he had always been the weaker of the two.
Situ raised his hand again. The stars that had embedded themselves in the sky suddenly flickered. The blue sky darkened into pitch black, turning into night. The starry sky shimmered beautifully, yet beneath that beauty hid a deadly killing force.
“It’s the National Preceptor’s Heaven-Spanning Star Formation!” someone below exclaimed. “He’s summoned three thousand stars to form the formation, his famous technique.”
“They say this formation uses the power of heaven and earth. Who knows if it can kill that old man?”
“No need to worry. The National Preceptor has always defeated him. He’s never lost. Everything will be fine.”
As people murmured, the sky above was fully engulfed by the starry formation. Willow Ancestor suddenly felt an oppressive force binding his entire body. His spirit power was sealed, unable to circulate. His movements were frozen.
The three thousand stars burned as if self-ignited, each carrying a lethal force. Then, with a thunderous roar, every star unleashed a torrent of power. Three thousand torrents wove together and blasted toward Willow Ancestor at the center.
