At night, Yang Yi exercised for a while and tested the effects of the Growth Potion.
The results were satisfactory. Although it was not as effective as the Fruit of Bounty, the rate of experience growth had noticeably increased. Moreover, it could be combined with the Light of Life, with the two effects multiplying each other.
After thirty minutes of training, his Constitution experience finally maxed out, raising his base Constitution to eight points.
He stopped exercising and decided that from then on, he would train briefly before sleeping each night, aiming to maximise his base attributes as soon as possible.
However, he concluded that high-intensity training was inadvisable. He was still in dangerous waters and needed to preserve sufficient energy to handle emergencies.
Yang Yi sent a private message to Suna, requesting her to produce more Growth Potions. He also instructed her to consume them herself, as this would significantly accelerate her attribute development.
When the time was right, Yang Yi prepared to sleep in order to restore his condition.
He took out two potions: one was an Appetite Stimulant Potion, the other a Vitality Coconut Water.
After a few seconds of hesitation, he chose the Vitality Coconut Water. After drinking it, he lay down to sleep.
The reason he avoided the Appetite Stimulant Potion was twofold: first, to lose weight; second, to conserve food.
After all, he needed to restrict his diet for a period of time and could not afford to eat excessively.
The first half of the night passed.
Yang Yi suddenly awoke in less than three hours, drenched in cold sweat.
He tried to recall the dream, but could remember nothing clearly, only the silhouette of a massive shadow and a lingering sweetness in his memory.

He found nothing unusual.

If a chunk of meat or a foreign creature had climbed aboard, it would certainly have left signs. Furthermore, the door to the captain’s quarters had been tightly shut; no one but Suna could have entered.

He touched his stomach, it felt slightly empty, but he had no memory of vomiting.

Sleepwalking was now a possibility.
Suna arrived at the captain’s quarters shortly thereafter, and Yang Yi explained the situation to her in full.
“You’re saying you’ve been having nightmares for two days now, but you can’t remember the content?”
“Yes.
I suspect it’s related to that interaction with the drowned player, the nightmares began that very night,” Yang Yi replied.
Suna recorded the details carefully, as if acting in the role of an attending physician.
“Is this your first time having this kind of nightmare?” she suddenly asked.
Yang Yi appeared somewhat hesitant.
He had previously experienced similar dreams, and likewise could not recall their content, until later, when he realised, the dreams were related to the Spider Mother. Once he saw her, everything came back to him.
After a moment of thought, Yang Yi shared his suspicions with Suna, including the existence of the Spider Mother and the Charred Tree.
The latter perked up instantly.
“So, you’re saying… a being of that magnitude might appear?”
“Most likely just a projection.”
“That’s more than enough! Can you draw what you mentioned… the Spider Mother and the Charred Tree?”
Suna handed him paper and pen, but Yang Yi refused without hesitation.
“I can’t remember what They looked like,” he replied.
As time passed, Yang Yi’s memories of the two had grown increasingly vague, as if shrouded in mist, he could only recall their general outlines.
Suna didn’t press the issue, but commented regretfully, “What a pity. They must be some kind of super lifeforms, higher-order beings! If only we could get a sample of their tissue…”
Her eyes suddenly lit up.
“Wait, the Lord of the Ice Nest must be one too! Could that white shard be part of Its skin?”
Suna recalled the white fragment. But the thing was far too strange, she couldn’t analyse or understand it at all…
“Stop right there! I called you here to test the composition of that vomit, not to discuss all that!”
Yang Yi pulled the conversation back on track.
Suna finally crouched down and began examining the suspicious puddle of white vomit.
The liquid was extremely viscous, mixed with a large amount of mushy food residue.
“What did you eat tonight?” Suna asked, glancing up.
She showed no signs of disgust, using a witch’s dagger to pick up some of the vomit as a sample and sealing it into a reagent vial.
“A can of bread.”
“That’s it? The quantity doesn’t match.”
“…And an apple can.”
Suna stopped, having spotted two empty coconut shells under the bed.
“Alright, fine, I had two bread cans and two Vitality Coconuts. I steamed the bread with the coconut shells.”
Realising he couldn’t hide it, Yang Yi confessed.
For someone of his build, that amount of food was only enough to feel half full.
Suna didn’t comment further. After finishing her questions, she quickly left the captain’s quarters, apparently heading off to run tests.
“No rush on the results. You can do it tomorrow, it’s late,” Yang Yi messaged her after checking the time.
It was already Suna’s designated rest time in the latter half of the night.
“It’ll be quick.”
Her reply was extremely brief.
Less than half an hour later, Yang Yi received the test results.
The food residue components included bread, apple, and coconut flesh, exactly as Yang Yi had described. So, there was no doubt: the vomit was indeed his.
As for the white viscous fluid, it turned out to be Delicious Syrup, highly concentrated and chemically similar to the earlier rainwater.
But Yang Yi had never consumed anything like Delicious Syrup!
He checked his status and found that his pollution level had increased by 1%.
Other than that, there were no abnormalities.

Yang Yi had spent the entire night pondering but came up empty. He could only be sure of one thing,
In that dream, he had encountered a massive, colossal entity, and he had seemingly eaten something.
At dawn, he checked his stamina, it was down to 72, a subpar state.
His sanity had also dropped to 85, worsened by his repeated attempts to recall the dream, which left him with a splitting headache.
He decided to shift focus and clear his mind. He picked up his fishing rod and started fishing, checking the chat channels at the same time to monitor market trends and any new intelligence.
Soon, Song Yingwen sent him a private message: a new issue of the weekly bulletin would be released soon, mainly covering safety tips for the Abundant Seas. There weren’t many headlines of particular note.
However, someone in the chat had posted about discovering a moving sea forest.
