After an effortless return to the fortress, he hired a carriage to avoid drawing attention and entered Sarrier's room with the unconscious young girl. He gently placed her on a luxurious bed, then produced an iron chain to secure her hands firmly to the bedpost. From his pocket, he took out a small pink bottle, opened it, and administered a drop to the girl.

This elixir was the result of dark alchemy, a wicked concoction with a notorious recipe passed down from the distant sands of Muram. It was produced through four purification processes using the saliva of a three-tailed lizard and the bark of the Springflower tree. Although its effects were potent, it also caused significant harm and exhaustion to the consumer, thus earning its reputation as dark alchemy. For a girl like this, a single drop was already at the limit of her tolerance.

With the bottle safely stowed away, Paladin, who was secretly watching the scene unfold, was filled with a sense of amusement.
