Luo Ruxin glared fiercely at Ning Yechen, leaving him puzzled and speechless. He had no idea how he had provoked his sister-in-law again.

Ning Yechen chuckled at the sight. These snacks had been meticulously prepared by Yue Qingyou for Luo Hongye, incorporating rare medicinal herbs to ensure they were not only delicious but also beneficial for health. Even Luo Ruying had praised them.

Watching Luo Ruxin devour the snacks with such fervor while pretending to dislike them was amusing. Suddenly, he found his sister-in-law a bit adorable, though not nearly as adorable as his wife or daughter, of course.

"If you like them, take your time. There’s plenty more at home," Ning Yechen said kindly, worried she might choke.

"I don’t like them! They’re terrible!" Luo Ruxin shot back fiercely before immediately choking on a snack. She grabbed the tea from the table and drank it all in one go.

After catching her breath, she glared at Ning Yechen again, convinced he had distracted her on purpose to make her choke.

As the aroma of the tea lingered on her palate, Luo Ruxin blinked in surprise and poured herself another cup. This tea is amazing! Even better than the ones back home!

How could everything he offered, from the snacks to the fruits to the tea, be so good?

There’s no way this has anything to do with him. These must all be prepared by my sister!

Convinced in her assumption, Luo Ruxin felt justified to continue eating.

From Ning Yechen’s lap, Luo Hongye curiously observed her aunt. Wow, Auntie eats so much… even more than me!

Not long after, Luo Ruying emerged from the kitchen with a full spread of dishes she had cooked herself. Having reunited with her family after so long, she felt genuinely happy and wanted to express her feelings through her cooking.

Yue Qingyou assisted by setting the dishes and utensils on the table.

"Ruxin, you’ve probably never had mortal food before. Give it a try," Luo Ruying invited her sister to sit at the table.

"And by the way, the dishes you just enjoyed? I made them. I’m glad they suit your taste."

Rendered speechless, she awkwardly focused on the food.

Luo Ruying chuckled softly and placed some food on her sister’s plate. Luo Ruxin beamed with joy at her sister’s gesture, only to see her also serving Ning Yechen.

Ning Yechen ate the bite with a smile, then picked up a piece of food and gently fed her in return. "You should eat more too, my dear."
