The uncle-nephew pair's expressions froze, and they both shivered at exactly the same time.
As though they'd sensed an icy killing intent, a wave of unease flooded both their hearts simultaneously.
They turned around almost on instinct.
What greeted them, however, was a flying kick.
Fang Si and Zhang Dali had each locked onto their target -- and went straight to work.

Wu Li's expression remained composed. No panic.
As a Black Iron-rank Beast Tamer, his physical strength was far beyond what any ordinary person could match.
When he saw that it was a girl throwing the kick, he relaxed even further.
He crossed his arms, ready to tank the blow head-on.
But the force that slammed into him exceeded every expectation.

The uncle-nephew pair went flying in unison, completely unable to resist the power behind that strike.
Seeing the two of them lose their balance and topple toward him, Chen Shu's lips curled into a grin. He'd been waiting for this.
Two urea bags had materialized in his hands at some point.
One bag per hand, he hooded both of them before they could even react.
The trio's coordination was nothing short of seamless.
Fang Si let out a sharp bark, closed the distance to Wu Li in a single stride, and seized the urea bag with both hands. Using terrifying raw strength, she pinned it firmly over his head.
What followed was a merciless beatdown.
Zhang Dali and Chen Shu, meanwhile, locked onto Xia Yan. They weren't the least bit worried about Fang Si losing control of her target.
Sure, both Wu Li and Fang Si were Black Iron-rank Beast Tamers.
But as everyone knew, not all people were created equal...
Wu Li struggled desperately, but he was like a pig waiting for slaughter -- utterly unable to break free.
By now, he realized he'd run into someone he absolutely should not have provoked. All he could do was resort to tough talk:

A savage grin played on Fang Si's lips. An open palm the size of a dinner plate crashed directly into the side of his head.
Wu Li's vision instantly swam. His skull buzzed like a kicked beehive.

Fang Si threw another punch, holding absolutely nothing back.

Fang Si's eyes blazed with excitement. It was as if every last violence gene in her body had been awakened at once.
Off to the side, Chen Shu and Zhang Dali had already finished dealing with Xia Yan. With a frame like his, he naturally couldn't withstand a two-man beatdown.
"Big Sis Fang Si is incredible!"
The two of them stared slack-jawed at the assault in progress, feeling a distinct chill creep through their chests.

After a flurry of punches and kicks, Fang Si seemed to get bored. She planted one final kick squarely into his body and sent him flying over ten meters down the street.
"Get lost!"
A moment passed. Wu Li tentatively moved, testing whether the blows had stopped. Only after confirming no more were coming did he dare to slowly peel off the urea bag...
For a Black Iron-rank Beast Tamer, his face was a patchwork of bruises -- purple and blue blotches everywhere, both eyes swollen into narrow slits.

Fang Si crossed her arms, looking perfectly at ease. She hadn't spared Wu Li a second thought.

"How could I?! That little punk dared to trash-talk our Special Training Class! As class president, could I just sit there and take it?"
Chen Shu shrugged. "So we ended up with a grudge."
Fang Si zeroed in on the key detail instantly. She arched an eyebrow. "You're... the class president?"
"Did you bribe Shen Wushuang with money?"
Before Chen Shu could answer, she continued: "With Old Shen's money-loving personality, he definitely took the bribe! No way -- I want half!"
"..."
Chen Shu and Zhang Dali's mouths twitched in unison. You don't even know what happened and you already want half?
Straight-up highway robbery, then?
Also -- who the hell bribed anyone with money? And even if they did, where would he get any?

Chen Shu cleared his throat, about to explain.

Chen Shu threw up his hands. "You guys must be exhausted. I'll treat you all to a feast, alright?!"
"Now that's more like it."
Fang Si dusted off her hands and stopped hitting Chen Shu.
The three of them fell into step together, heading toward the food stall from before.
If nothing had gone wrong, the house specials should already be ready and waiting...
"Hey, Dali -- why are you lugging pots and pans around the street? Trying to cosplay a lunatic?"
Chen Shu turned to Zhang Dali. Sure, the guy was a college student now, but he seemed to be getting more unhinged by the day.
"This is called contemplation. You don't understand?"
Zhang Dali pouted, wearing the expression of someone who'd seen the world while the rest of them hadn't.
"The hell is that?"
"You ever read a wuxia novel?"
Zhang Dali launched into his explanation: "Swordsmen always carry their swords everywhere. It lets them cultivate Sword Intent, because a sword has a spirit!"
"A wok has a spirit too! Only by being with it every waking moment can you cook truly great food!"

The corner of Chen Shu's mouth twitched. This guy has genuinely lost the plot.

But Fang Si shook her head, her expression dead serious:
