Charlotte gasped.
It's a reaction that's almost an affirmation already.
Allen sighed as he spoke to Miaha. He was going to do whatever he could to bribe her at this point but he really did not want to brainwash anyone he knew, so he tried to be as gentle as possible...
"... Miaha. There is a reason for this."
"It's all right, Demon King."
However, Miaha smiled gently and knocked on her chest.
"The first priority of our transportation company is to serve our customers. We don't care who your maid is or where she comes from."

"Well then, please do me a favor. Please deduct it from my salary later."
"Don't worry about it," he said, "it's a necessary expense, so I'll pay for it."

From yesterday's cake incident, she could tell that Allen might actually do as he said. And that hunch of hers was correct.
Miaha laughed at such an exchange.
"It must be hard on the maid. If you don't like the way the Demon King is acting, you have to sternly speak up."
"No, no, I'm in his debt, and I can't ...... say such a thing to him."
"If it was me, I wouldn't hesitate to do a knockout punch in the face of such an arrogant attitude."
