As the day was drawing to a close, Yang Yi collected the fishing nets and decided to end his day.

"Suna, take a look at these."
In the lab, Suna was still dissecting a two-horned demon shark.
Two bright, fist-sized eyeballs were removed and floating in a glass tank, emitting a faint red glow.
She noticed Yang Yi, the strange fish, and the large pearl in his hand.
"Look at these fish and the pearl."
Suna took the items and examined them closely.
"Did you catch all these?"
"Yes!"
Suddenly, Suna had an inspiration.
She looked at the fish, then at the demon shark’s eyeballs, and had an idea.
"Two...no, three! In three days, I'll give you some prototypes!" Suna said excitedly.
"Don’t rush it. It’s already night. Go back to your room and rest. We can discuss it tomorrow."
Suna hesitated for a moment but ultimately agreed and returned to her room.
Her room was next to the captain's quarters, so if there were any disturbances at night, they could easily notify each other.
Yang Yi took the crystal ball and headed to the captain’s room.
The crystal ball had a vibration alert function, warning them in case another player’s ship appeared nearby.
Placing it by the pillow allowed him to anticipate danger in advance.
Otherwise, he could be sleeping whilst surrounded by other players at night!
After preparing everything, Yang Yi took off his coat, drank a bottle of coconut juice, and lay on the ship.
He usually checked the chat channel before sleeping, mainly to monitor the price trends of warm clothing and to see if anyone was selling fire tools.
As he was doing this, he fell asleep, frowning and having nightmares.
In the dead of night, there was movement next door to the captain’s quarters. Suna's door opened.
A sneaky figure quietly emerged and headed towards the stern’s cabin, targeting the lab.
Suna planned to work late into the night researching magic potions...
Three days passed without any major events.
Yang Yi continued fishing as usual, collected the fishing nets in the evening, and occasionally practised shooting.
He didn’t like using claw hooks, even though they provided stable catches; they were not as interesting as fishing.
He gave all the fish he caught to Suna for her to evaluate their usefulness.
Since food was plentiful, it was better to consume items with shorter shelf lives first, and there was no need to eat the strange fish.
During this period, the haul was average, aside from the strange fish, with the resources collected being: Wood x28, Cloth x25, Shell Coins 650, Freshwater 9L.
He noticed there was a difference between the fishing net and fishing rod yields.
Fishing nets provided more shrimp, crabs, and shellfish.
He also caught two resource chests.
The wooden resource chest gave Wood x20, Cloth x20, which was better than nothing.
The bronze resource chest provided Wood x100, Cloth x100, Iron x20, still a significant gain.
He caught two new fish species.

Along with the head octopus and palm star, he had just the right mix of attributes besides sanity.

It seemed the cost to produce a down jacket was around 100 cloth, so the price had likely bottomed out.

If using Shell Coins to buy down jackets, the price would be around 600 Shell Coins, but players preferred trading with cloth because shell coin exchange rates were too unstable.
Currently, the exchange rate for basic resources to Shell Coins was about 5:1, meaning 5 Shell Coins equalled 1 unit of basic resources, though actual trades could be slightly higher.
High-level resources were more expensive, around 25 Shell Coins per unit.
In summary, Yang Yi seemed rich, but he was actually struggling financially and couldn’t afford to spend resources recklessly.
He still didn’t know how much he would need to buy fire tools!
He routinely posted in the chat channel: “High price for fire tools, private message if you’re selling cheap winter clothing!”
Just after sending the message, Yang Yi noticed a private message from Suna, sent a few minutes ago.
Suna: “The magic potions are ready as you requested, placed on the lab table. Come and get them yourself.
There are three types in total.
The red one is for attribute enhancement, with possible minor side effects.
The clear one is for restoring energy, try it yourself.
The pink one is for healing injuries...”
After reading the message, Yang Yi immediately ran to the witch's lab.
With such a high investment, it was finally yielding results!
In the lab, Suna was lying on the table, seemingly resting.
On the table were various instruments, including a microscope, a test tube rack and test tubes, a flask, and even an alcohol lamp.
“Can this thing even light up?”
Yang Yi picked up the alcohol lamp and found it surprisingly light. Upon closer inspection, it was empty...
