"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fu Yan, and I'm your P.E. teacher. My teaching style is basically, 'My rules are the rules.'"
As Fu Yan's declaration hung in the air, a fleeting silence blanketed the classroom before it shattered into unbridled, mocking laughter.
The students went right back to their rowdy antics; crumpled notes sailed through the air while couples resumed brazenly flirting, not paying a single ounce of attention to Fu Yan standing right there.
Rather than reining them in, Fu Yan wore a faint smile as he leisurely stepped down from the podium and approached a student sporting dyed green hair.
With frantic strokes of his pen, the green-haired student was busy writing a note for his classmate in the back.
Fu Yan cast a cursory glance over the contents.
'This dandy is so obnoxious; I'm going to eat him alive, heh heh!!!'
The note was finished off with a row of hand-drawn skulls.
"Nice skulls, but your choice of words is wrong. I suppose that's to be expected, since you all ate your Language teacher."
Finishing his critique, Fu Yan pulled the slip of paper from beneath the green-haired boy's arm and read it aloud with full emotion, making sure to include the grunts at the end.
Thrusting his chin out stubbornly, the green-haired kid snapped, "Humph! So what! I just wanna eat you, you toy boy!"
Fu Yan stated coldly, "Disrupting classroom discipline and insulting a teacher. You need to be punished."
In the very next moment, Fu Yan hoisted the green-haired boy up by the scruff of his collar, holding him off the ground with one hand.
As his feet flailed helplessly in the air, the green-haired boy bared his serrated, bone-white teeth, which still clung to bits of the bald man's mangled flesh.
"You toy boy! I'm gonna eat you! Eat you alive!"
"Failing to learn and doubling down on your faults."
Fu Yan lugged the boy to the window by his collar.
Flinging the window wide open, he stuffed the kid outside headfirst.
[Ding! Fear Points +10]
Panic seized the green-haired boy. Although a fall from this height wouldn't kill him, it would hurt like absolute hell.
"This... this is murder! You're breaching a teacher's code of conduct!"
Although the boy shouted with false bravado, his heart was entirely devoid of confidence; he couldn't fathom why this pretty boy still hadn't triggered a death flag after everything.
"Like I said, my rules are the rules," Fu Yan stated, abruptly releasing his grip.
"Aaargh!"
Splat!
Plummeting headfirst from the thirteenth floor, the boy's head was driven squarely into his chest cavity upon impact, scattering a shower of gore across the ground.
Showing an uncanny sense of timing, the livestream camera zoomed in wildly to capture extreme close-ups of the mangled boy.
[Only our GOAT would pull off something like this.]
[Thank goodness I skipped breakfast this morning.]
[GOAT Fu Yan: Little brat, let's see if I can gross you out.]
Draping himself over the ledge, Fu Yan craned his neck outside and yelled, "Yo! You dead yet?"
"Cough, cough..."
The boy hacked violently, reaching up to yank his head out of his chest cavity.
"N-no."
Fu Yan deadpanned, "If you aren't dead, come back up here and stand in the corner."
The green-haired boy was rendered utterly speechless.
Honestly, it would probably be better if he just played dead.
The sheer audacity of Fu Yan's actions had the other players staring in stunned disbelief.
Chen Sheng was the first to snap back to reality, realizing Fu Yan wasn't lying about the player death prerequisites; the bald man had indeed died for failing to fulfill his duties as a teacher.
Yet witnessing Fu Yan casually hurl a student out the window raised a glaring question.
Just where was the line drawn for this so-called "teacher's duty"?
Could it possibly be tied to one's teaching style?
By this time, the green-haired boy had huffed and puffed his way back upstairs. Having learned his lesson, he politely knocked before entering and called out, "Mr. Fu."
"Have you figured out the right words to describe your teacher?" Fu Yan inquired.
This toy boy sure is surprisingly vindictive, the green-haired boy grumbled internally, though he dared not show a trace of it on his face. He absolutely did not want to climb those stairs again.
"Mr. Fu is really talented, dedicated, responsible, and a perfect model teacher."
Fu Yan leaned heavily against the teacher's desk, gazing at him with distinct pity before saying,
"Jump."
The green-haired boy fell silent.
When he finally hauled himself back upstairs for the second time, he preempted Fu Yan by shouting:
"Mr. Fu is super handsome and really cool. Everyone loves him so much that even flowers bloom when they see him!"
Having delivered his line, the green-haired boy gulped nervously, awaiting Fu Yan's verdict with tragic resignation.
Wearing a stern expression, Fu Yan strode over to him, reached out to affectionately ruffle his green hair, and broke into a benevolent smile.
"Should've been this obedient from the beginning. Now go stand in the back."
The green-haired boy let out a long breath of relief, flooded by the intense sensation of narrowly surviving a disaster.
Yet ironically, he was the actual monster here, not Fu Yan.
The other students in class were so petrified they barely dared to breathe.
After all, nobody was eager to become the next volunteer for the bungee-jump-without-a-cord experience.
[Greenie, you have absolutely no idea just how fortunate you are.]
[Remember the last NPC that GOAT Fu Yan patted on the head? He died so long ago that the grass on his grave must be two meters tall by now.]
[GOAT Fu Yan is honestly being incredibly tame this time around.]
Within the Instance Dungeon, Fu Yan stood behind the podium, surveying the students sitting stiffly at attention, and felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
"Since you all took the liberty of eating your Language teacher, the remainder of this period will be Physical Education."
Glancing up at the clock, Fu Yan suggested, "We only have fifteen minutes left, so let's play a simple little game."
Hearing this, a collective sigh of relief swept through the students.
Casually yanking a tablecloth from beneath the podium, Fu Yan tossed it to the boy in the front row.
"Hot potato. Whoever is holding it when the game stops jumps."
Fu Yan nodded toward the window.
"One game, double the thrill. You guys are really getting a bargain."
The students sat in stunned silence.
Who on earth would want a bargain like that?!
Leaving no room for protests, Fu Yan grabbed the pointer and started beating out a rhythm.
Tap!
Fu Yan struck it just once before immediately stopping, leaving the boy no time to pass the cloth.
Still clutching the fabric, he sat frozen on his stool.
"That's... that's it?"
"Come now, everyone. Let's have a round of applause for this lucky guy."
The class fell silent again, unable to force out any congratulations; with the game running like this, any of them could be the next to plummet.
Under the conflicted gazes of his classmates, the boy finally took his leap of faith.
Leaning his head out the window, Fu Yan hollered,
"If you aren't back in three minutes, you get to jump a second time!"
The boy had already perfectly calculated his landing angle and posture, but Fu Yan's sudden roar startled the plan right out of his head.
Facing the wind and embracing the sky, he bravely pancaked onto the ground with a loud splat.
His intestines, stomach, and lungs erupted into a gruesome display across the pavement.
Too panicked to gather his organs properly, he blindly scooped up a handful of guts, shoved them into his abdominal cavity, and began sprinting back upstairs.
He returned to the classroom coughing and panting, making it back at exactly the two-minute-and-fifty-nine-second mark.
The hot potato game was still going strong.
While he was running up the stairs, twelve more classmates had already jumped out the window.

[Ding! Fear Points +10]
By the time the bell rang to signal the end of the first period, Fu Yan had raked in a grand total of 485 Fear Points.
He had systematically worked his way through the entire class, sparing absolutely no one. A few exceptionally unlucky souls had even been put through the wringer two or three times.
Layer upon layer of dark-red blood stained the playground's cement floor, dotted with grotesque, unrecognizable piles of abandoned internal organs.
As the bell chimed to signal the end of the lesson, an immense weight seemed to lift from the students' shoulders.
They had never craved the end of a class quite like this.
"Good times fly by. That's all for this class. Bye, guys."
Fu Yan strolled out of the classroom still craving more. It was a real shame each person could only yield "jumping-off-a-building" Fear Points once, or he would've happily farmed them all day.
The students slumped limply across their desks, watching Fu Yan depart without the slightest desire to say goodbye.
They truly, genuinely never wanted to see his face again.
Exiting the room, the only person Fu Yan saw waiting outside was He Shuyang.
At the moment, He Shuyang's mood was a complicated cocktail of emotions.
He might have witnessed Fu Yan's murderous antics through a monitor, but watching him torment NPCs live and in person really highlighted just how generous Fu Yan had been during their first meeting.
Fu Yan was completely oblivious to He Shuyang's inner turmoil.
Had he known, he would've undoubtedly patted the guy on the shoulder and said:
"Buddy, you're overthinking it. I literally just wanted to mooch a Team-Up Card off you."
