Inside the wooden house…
After eating, Luo Ruying took the used crockery and cutlery and walked out the room.
She looked at the pile of crockery and cutlery at her feet and frowned. Then she sat down and tried cleaning them like a mortal.
When she realized it was inefficient, she decided to use her spiritual energy to hold the crockery, cutlery, and water in midair and make them spin at high speed.
In the blink of an eye, everything was clean, and the dirty water was removed from them.
Following this, Luo Ruying did the same thing to chop firewood and do the laundry.
All the chores were done in a matter of minutes.
Luo Ruying placed her hands on her hips and nodded in satisfaction. Although it’s my first time doing this, I’m pretty good! From now on, I will handle the chores so that he can relax.
Suddenly, an annoying, hoarse, old voice sounded. “Hahaha! I didn’t expect to see a fairy from the Heavenly Realm doing chores like a normal wife.”

Ning Yechen slowly walked out of the house to Luo Ruying’s side and looked at Old Ghost coldly.
Old Ghost was delighted to see Luo Hongye.
The person from the Heavenly Realm specially stated wanting the child.
Old Ghost was surprised to see that other than Luo Ruying and Luo Hongye, there was a man here.
In the intel, no man was mentioned.
Not the slightest spiritual energy could be detected from the man. From the looks of it, he was simply a lowly mortal.
The man was no threat whatsoever!
“Who would have known? A proud heavenly fairy who escaped into the Mortal Realm threw herself into the arms of a man.”
Old Ghost figured this was Ning Yechen’s residence, and Luo Ruying was just hiding here for now, but he still mocked her.
A fairy from the Heavenly Realm marrying someone from the Mortal Realm was simply a joke!
Luo Ruying furrowed her brows but did not get annoyed. Instead, she said solemnly, “I will go with you! Just promise to let him and the child off!”
After some thought, Luo Ruying finally decided to give herself up to save Ning Yechen and their daughter.
In her heart, she could not bear to part with them, but she had no choice.
Even if she defeated the man before her, it made no difference. Those people in the Heavenly Realm would never let her off!
The next time, they would only send someone stronger!
The only thing waiting for her was relentless pursuits and battles!
She could not keep running with her daughter or implicate Ning Yechen.
If by sacrificing herself, she could keep Ning Yechen and Luo Hongye safe, she was happy to do it!
“Mommy! Mommy! Don’t leave me!” The moment Luo Hongye heard Luo Ruying volunteer to leave, she instantly bawled and clutched Luo Ruying’s clothes with all her might.
Luo Ruying looked at Luo Hongye by her legs. A reluctant yet doting look appeared in her eyes as they turned teary.
If she could help it, she could never bear to part with her child.
Old Ghost interrupted with a sinister laugh. “How touching. Don’t worry. You are coming with me, and so is this girl! As for the man, I will just kill him.”
“You…” Luo Ruying’s face turned glacial. She was so furious that her nails dug into her hands until they bled.
She had already compromised, but he refused to let off her husband and daughter!
Luo Ruying bent over to pick up Luo Hongye and handed her to Ning Yechen. A grave yet gentle look appeared in her eyes. “Leave this to me. Take her and run into the forest! Promise me to keep her safe! After I’m done here, I will look for you. If I don’t come, don’t wait for me!”
Luo Ruying did not wait for Ning Yechen to reply. She tipped her toes and kissed his lips gently.
This was the first time they kissed on their own volition without drugs.
Ning Yechen opened his eyes wide in astonishment.
“Honey, I’m leaving her to you,” Luo Ruying said lovingly into his ear after their lips parted. This was the first time she talked to Ning Yechen this way.
This was also the first time she called him honey!
But this might very well be the last chance.
She had known Ning Yechen for merely three days. Even though he liked to annoy her, he was very good to them.
Also, her daughter adored him.
In her heart, she had already accepted him as her husband.
Before they parted, she wanted to muster the courage to call him this.
In a way, she was genuinely entrusting Luo Hongye to him.
Ning Yechen felt delighted and helpless inside. Does she have to make it like she might die any moment?
“Take her! Run!” Luo Ruying made the wind blow with a wave of her hand, sending Ning Yechen and Luo Hongye into the air toward the forest at the back of the mountain.
“Do you think you can escape me? Absolutely naïve!” Old Ghost flung his hand, and four scary-looking puppets gave chase while giving off thick miasma!
Luo Ruying naturally would not let those puppets give chase. She hurriedly drew her heavenly sword and flew forward to block the puppets. With a single strike, she cut one of them into pieces!
The remaining three puppets swiftly went past her, ignoring her.
Luo Ruying hurriedly moved out of anxiety. With a wave of her heavenly sword, three rays of threatening sword lights appeared!
The sword lights passed through the puppets, cutting them at the waist!
Old Ghost took the opportunity to attack Luo Ruying from behind using his poisonous palm!
Blood flowed from the corner of Luo Ruying’s mouth. She endured the intense pain and continued to attack the three puppets with her sword.
No matter what, she could not let a single puppet pass!
Otherwise, Ning Yechen and her daughter would be in danger!
“You would rather take my attack than let the puppets chase them. From the looks of it, you care about them a lot. Don’t worry. After killing you, there is no escape for them either.” Old Ghost let out a smug and sinister laugh.
Luo Ruying was injured and poisoned. He felt that he was about to win any moment now.
His chance to become an immortal and ascend was here!
Luo Ruying’s face turned cool. Her eyes determined, she looked at Old Ghost with a murderous look and pointed her sword at him. “Is that so? Then you have to die today!”
