That’s why if we really do end up fighting, I don’t see him as some sworn enemy anymore. He’s just another fighter my Mother brought in. I’d planned to hold back my strength so I wouldn’t accidentally erase a god from existence, but—

Evil God didn’t look like he was lying.

That’s weird.

Evil God standing before me feels exactly the same as when we last met. The very first time we met was when he transmigrated me. The second time was when I punched him in the face. This is our third encounter, but now he’s claiming he doesn’t know me?

"Er.. Evil God-sama, have you ever forced a guy from another world to reincarnate before?"

Normally, my intuition kicks in and gives me a good sense of the truth, but when it comes to gods, that doesn’t always work. Right now, I can’t tell for sure if this is the same evil god who killed me.

But Mother summoned him using her skill, so there’s no way she mistook a person and this is just some random god, or in this case, mistaken deity, huh.

"Oh well, whatever."

I decided not to overthink it.

I don’t really hold a grudge anymore. If he’s forgotten about me and doesn’t have a grudge either, that works for me. I’ll just treat him like any other enemy. Simple as that.

I raise my sword, Hakoku, and wrap myself in my high-speed magic armor.

"So, since you’re on Mother’s side—"

I pointed my blade at him and donned my Lightning and Wind Magic Suit.

"That makes you my enemy, doesn’t it?"

"—!?"

Evil God’s face twisted in shock.

"W-W-Who the heck are you!? How can a mere human wield that kind of power!?"

It’s all thanks to you, Evil God-sama.

"……"

I don’t bother responding.

No need for words.

I’ll just slice him in half and be done with it. He’s a god—it’s not like that’ll kill him. When I beat the dragon god senseless, that guy still ended up fine. So this should be fine, too.

I pour out my magic at full force, concentrating all of it into Hakoku. The blade shines brilliantly, overflowing with compressed energy.

If I’m gonna cut down a god, this much power is the minimum I’ll need.

"Oof, yeah, this might be a problem."

Mother takes a step back.

"O-O-Oy! Oy! I’m leaving! Don’t you dare summon me again!"

"Nope. You have to fight him."

"Shut up! Even if you did summon me, I decide whether or not I listen to you! I’m out!"

Evil God ignores Mother and opens a portal to the Divine Realm, trying to escape.

"Not happening."

"You’re not getting away."

The moment he tries to teleport, Mother and I both slash at his portal.

"…Huh?"

The attacks shatter the portal instantly. Mother did the same thing earlier when the dragon god tried to teleport. She doesn’t care who she’s dealing with—not even the Four Great Gods are an exception.

"M-My portal… Wh-What the @#$&!?"

His escape failed. Evil God just stood there, stunned, staring at where the portal used to be.

"Well then, Evil God-sama. Let’s fight."

I’ve already recovered the mana I used to destroy the portal, so I’m ready to go at any moment.

Honestly, I don’t really like attacking people who are running away. I’d rather fight an enemy who actually wants to kill me.

"N-No way! I’m not fighting a Bakemono like you!!"

Evil God gathered magic in his hands, forming a spell circle.

"Come forth, my demons! Kill my enemy!"

The summoning circle glowed brightly.

However, I knew it wasn’t going to work.

I already wiped out all the powerful demons under the Evil God’s command. His summoning spell would be pointless.

However, I forgot about her.

Dark mist poured out from the summoning circle, covering the area.

"Eh… Oh!!"

"W-Wait, wasn’t I sitting among the audience just now?"

"Ha, Hahaha…HAHAHA! You’ve come, Sitri! My most loyal demon!"

Evil God had summoned my wife, Sitri.

"You were supposed to be the next Demon King, weren’t you? You came at the perfect time. Now, I shall grant you the true power of a Demon King!"

As soon as he touched her shoulder, Sitri’s power surged. The small horns on her head grew thick and menacing.

Her magic now far surpassed the Demon King we once fought, Velt.

Then Evil God slipped behind her for cover and shouted—

"Now, go! Kill my enemy, Demon King Sitri!"
