Chapter 87 Secret

With the door ajar, a sense of unknown malice flowed through the darkness.

Tianyang silently approached the bedroom, back against the wall, fully alert.

Since his physical enhancement, his senses had become much sharper, but he didn't detect any special atmosphere in the room.

Tianyang raised his head and uttered, "Turn on the lights!"

The home automation system instantly illuminated the entire apartment, flooding it with light.

The moment the bedroom lights came on, Tianyang pushed open the door and rushed in with his knife ready. If someone was inside, suddenly being illuminated by the light in the dark environment would cause discomfort for a second or two, giving Tianyang an opportunity to attack.

But there was no one in the bedroom—not even a shadow and even the windows were tightly closed, indicating that everything just now was Tianyang's imagination.

However, at that moment, there was a sound of airflow outside the room. Tianyang turned around and pounced out, but only managed to catch a glimpse of a figure darting away from the window using some kind of tool to swiftly traverse the corner of the building, disappearing from sight.

Tianyang's expression became solemn. He closed the window and then checked the room to ensure no other people were hiding inside before entering the bedroom.

He sat down on the bed, keeping his sword within reach, lost in thought.

Who was that? Why did they break into his apartment?

But at that moment, Tianyang noticed the bookshelf opposite him, where the books he brought back from the Lower City were neatly arranged.

However, one book was askew.

Tianyang walked over and saw several grains of sand on the bookshelf, obviously brought in by the intruder.

The intruder had tampered with the bookshelf. Could they be searching for something?

But what would someone want with those old books?

Tianyang then returned to the bedroom, removed the lighting cover from the ceiling, and retrieved Su Lie's diary from the cavity.

Taking out the diary, Tianyang restored everything, turned off the interference device, and left the room with the diary.

He arrived at the community square near his apartment, found a secluded corner, and took out the diary.

The answer was definitely not that, but Tianyang couldn't find the right direction for the time being.

Around ten o'clock, a security officer arrived at the apartment with three team members.

Studying the symbol of the dark creatures on the paper, Tianyang narrowed his eyes. He quickly took out his communicator and logged into the Night Walker's information database.

After inputting the set of numbers, Tianyang received a place name, Gemstone Town!

Tianyang smiled. He guessed right. This set of numbers was a coordinate. Su Lie drew this dark creature symbol to imply that this was the coordinate in the Inverse Universe.

The secret should be in this Gemstone Town!

Tianyang also checked the information about Gemstone Town, and it was located near the Cloud Soaring Base. The town grew some luminescent fungi, which clustered together. When they emitted light, they looked like gemstones from a distance, hence the name.

Tianyang noted down the phrase and then lightly touched the paper with his Crimson Moon Warblade, burning it.

So he planned to go see Han Shu tomorrow. He wanted to ask for leave to go to Gemstone Town.

The secret of Su Lie must be hidden in Gemstone Town, and if the phrase was not misleading, it should point to a specific location in the town.

But the true situation would only be clear after going to Gemstone Town and investigating.

Putting away the diary and preparing to go home, Tianyang gently tapped his head again. Instead of Han Shu, he thought of a better candidate, someone who might even provide some assistance...
