Ch. 24 - I’ll Protect Senior Brother

Lin Qingyue had been learning from Su Yan these past days and was very grateful. She wanted to repay him somehow.

But how?

Inside, she saw a woman—and Su Yan slung over her shoulder!

Fairy Qingxuan frowned in annoyance. What was this girl doing sneaking around at this hour?

“You shameless thief! Let go of my Senior Brother!”

Her voice was so loud that even Su Yan, who had lost all hope, was shocked.

Her face was red with anger. A woman stealing a man in the middle of the night—what kind of joke was this?!

Su Yan had been so kind to her. How could she let this happen to him?!

Her shouts echoed loudly.

Su Yan was speechless.

Qingxuan, on the other hand, had never been yelled at like this before. Her face darkened.

“You’re making a scene. Aren’t you scared of me?”

Lin Qingyue raised her chin. “Why should I be?”

Her defiant attitude almost made Su Yan tear up.

She wasn’t backing down, all to protect him—his kindness to her wasn’t wasted!

Su Yan blinked in confusion.

“Who is your disciple?”

“Qin Yimeng.”

Qingxuan explained Qin Yimeng’s state—lovesick, off her food, needing him to comfort her.

“You caused this, so fix it. You lured her…you can’t just walk away.”

Su Yan’s head throbbed. Lured her? That was the old him’s fault. Why was he stuck with it?!

“Master Qingxuan, isn’t there a misunderstanding?”

“No misunderstanding!”

Qingxuan snapped, stubborn as ever.

Su Yan remembered the rumors about Tian Zhu Peak’s head—quirky, two hundred years old but childish.

If she were just childish, fine. But as a Spirit Transformation bigshot, her antics were next-level, and she was fiercely protective. No wonder she’d pull this.

Qingxuan frowned. “How am I being unfair?”

Lin Qingyue pressed on. “Senior Brother is an honest man. How could he possibly seduce your disciple? Did you see it yourself? Or did you just hear some gossip and believe it right away? If that’s not blindly trusting rumors, then what is?”

Qingxuan opened her mouth to reply but hesitated.

Lin Qingyue took another step forward. “Did you see it with your own eyes?”

Qingxuan didn’t answer. Had she been wrong?

She turned back to Su Yan. “Well? Did you do it?”
