Vol. 1 - Ch. 68 - Uncle

“Uncle Tyler. Why did you make them do such a terrible thing to Marie, your own sister…you killed her!”

“The Annalise family has inherited the position of chief for generations. But when Marie married Romeo, the founding ancestors and their dependents who blindly believed in Marie… followed Romeo…. Actually, Marie did a good job. I've never seen so many vampires united. As expected, I was impressed that she had the blood of a chief in her veins. But just think about it. I am the eldest son of the Annalise family. I thought, ‘Of course I am the right person to be the chief.’ However, my father chose Romeo, Marie's husband.…. I was so angry I almost went insane.”

The face of my uncle, who had been so kind to me in the past, was not there.

“I thought that once Marie was gone, the chieftaincy would be mine…but it’s not going the way I want it to. Romeo doesn’t even know where he is now that Marie is gone. Such a man is the chief! It makes me laugh!”

We were all lost in anger and sadness, then suddenly Yuki started talking.

“Is your title so important to you? A chief is someone who can help and unite his people. You only think about yourself! Your father’s decision was not a mistake!” She said with a fierce look on her face.

“You, little girl, can’t understand!”

“Yes, I do! You didn't understand such an important thing, and that's why your father didn't give it to you, right?"

My uncle stuttered.

“Do-don’t you dare talk to me like you know what you’re talking about!”

He sent a blade of wind and attacked Yuki. We managed to dodge it.

"Oh. The little one has grown up."

“The uncle I know isn’t here. In his place is a foolish man trying to gain power, who wants to wipe out mankind from this world. To become a new god, is that what you want!"

"Marc. You've started to speak impertinently after not seeing me for a while, ha!"

He lets out a sickening high-pitched laugh.

My brothers attacked my uncle, but to no avail. They all got kicked off and slammed to the wall.

“Tsk!”

“Damn it”

“This is terrible!”

I couldn’t resist taking a swing at him, because I really liked my uncle, and him...giving orders to kill his sister, my mother, Marie... I can't forgive him!

“I really loved you Uncle! But..!　You took my mother away from me!I’ll never forgive you for that! I don’t even understand why either!　My mother, Marie, once told my father that she was going to give everything to you. I was a child at the time and didn't understand it, but I do now! Now I’m glad she didn’t.”
