[Pfft! Hahahaha, my bad, I can’t stop laughing.]
[Damn! Holy shit! GOAT Fu Yan is so brave!]
[Bet an Instance Dungeon Fu has seen the comments.]
[@previous comment, seconding that.]
[Our GOAT Chen Sheng was just trying to defuse the tension in the comments! If the rookie doesn't appreciate it, fine, but how dare he insult him? Talk about having shit for brains!]
[Defuse the tension, my ass! Where was he when the blond guy was starting trouble? He just wanted to put Fu Yan in his place, but got humbled instead, so he stepped up to save his own bruised ego.]
[Wipe that smirk off your face, dumbass Fu Yan! Sooner or later, you're going to die at the hands of our GOAT Chen Sheng!]
[Dare to mess with GOAT Chen Sheng, and I'll ruin your whole world.]
[Chen Sheng's crazy stans, gtfo of the stream!]
[[Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep]]
Meanwhile, within the Instance Dungeon, Chen Sheng looked incredibly displeased. He still hadn't settled the score with this kid for the humiliation in the last livestream.
To think this brat dared to publicly humiliate him again! If he didn't kill him off in the Instance Dungeon today, he'd forfeit his surname Chen.
Chen Sheng fixed a toxic, resentful gaze upon Fu Yan.
Just then, the man who had been groping his girlfriend earlier suddenly stepped forward.
"Hey, dude, GOAT Chen Sheng was just talking sense. Why are you cursing at people? Besides, it was just a joke. There's no need to blow things out of proportion and resort to violence!"
Having seen Chen Sheng's livestreams, he knew exactly how capable he was.
In order to curry favor with Chen Sheng, he had no qualms about stepping on Fu Yan.
"Why?" Fu Yan tilted his head, a mocking smile playing on his lips as he looked at the man. "Do you want to have a go at me too?"
A sudden freezing sensation enveloped the baseball-jacket guy, causing him to instinctively retreat behind his girlfriend.
"Pathetic." Fu Yan spat out, throwing a fleeting glance at Chen Sheng and his two companions as well.
[With all players gathered, the 'Campus Horrors' Instance Dungeon will start shortly.]
Prompted by the robotic system voice, the front entrance of the academic building slowly opened.
Out stepped a female NPC wearing thick black glasses and clad in formal black attire.
Gazing emotionlessly at Fu Yan and the rest, she said, "You are the newly appointed teachers for Senior Class 4, aren't you? Come with me."
Trailing the female NPC, the group of seven had barely stepped into the academic building when the main doors shut with a resounding thud.
Walking beside Fu Yan, He Shuyang tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "Don't you think the system prompt's voice sounds different?"
Fu Yan gave a nod. "It sounds much worse now."
His reply left He Shuyang at a loss for words.
The NPC scanned her staff card to unlock the elevator doors.
Fu Yan and the rest followed her into the elevator and rode it up to the thirteenth floor before entering the leftmost office.
Sunlight streamed through the glass of the south-facing office, illuminating the wide, airy space.
The clean, orderly wall featured meticulously written red characters:
'Dedicate yourself to work, strictly observe your duties.'
The room contained seven desks arranged in a neat, well-spaced configuration.
Every desk had a nameplate indicating the occupant's name and assigned subject.
Fu Yan took a sweeping glance around, noting that He Shuyang was assigned to teach Mathematics, while the others were assigned Language, Foreign Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
And the subject he got was Physical Education.
What's with this assignment? Was this discrimination against his elementary school certificate?
Fu Yan stepped up to the desk labeled with his name, where a staff card rested on top.
The card bore his photograph, name, and teaching subject.
"Dear teachers, please take your staff IDs and teaching materials. I will take you to see your classes," the female NPC delivered her lines entirely devoid of emotion.
Senior Class 4 was located on the far right side of the thirteenth floor, in the exact opposite direction from the office.
As they walked, the NPC briefed them on the school's rules and regulations.
Instructions issued by an NPC usually contained clues related to the dungeon objective.
"We are a boarding school. Currently, only the students of Senior Class 4 are taking lessons here. Students attend classes during the day and return to the dormitories at night. Lights out is at ten o'clock, at which point the dorms are locked and students are strictly forbidden from going outside. Teachers must take turns conducting night patrols after lights out."
The NPC continued, "Open flames are prohibited within the school grounds at night, or else something terrifying will happen. There is a library on the west side of the school with a comprehensive collection of materials. It was once rated as a municipal landmark, so teachers may visit if interested."
By the time the NPC stopped talking, Fu Yan and the others found themselves standing outside the door of Senior Class 4.
"The 8:30 to 9:15 period is Language class. Language teacher, please prepare yourself."
Pointing at the schedule posted beside the blackboard, the NPC added, "A reminder to all teachers: the school does not allow teachers to miss their scheduled classes. Should anything happen to the designated teacher, the remaining teachers must cover the class."
" 'Anything happen to'?" the girl in the baseball jacket asked weakly. "What... what could possibly happen...?"
The female NPC looked at her and revealed the very first smile she'd shown since their introduction.
Rather than reassuring anyone, the smile only made everyone feel uneasy.
"Ding-ding, dong-dong... ding-ding... dong-dong."
As the school bell rang, the NPC smiled and forcefully shoved the bald man into the classroom.
"Wishing all teachers a pleasant teaching experience."
Having delivered her line, the NPC turned and left.
The bald man was the Language teacher, but he'd been shoved into the classroom before he had even mentally prepared himself.
This was only his third Instance Dungeon, and he still hadn't fully grasped many of the rules. Being forced to take the lead now left him completely clueless.
The bald man belonged to Chen Sheng's guild, and it was Chen Sheng who had brought him into this Instance Dungeon.
He shot a helpless glance toward Chen Sheng.
"Sheng... Big Bro Sheng..."
"Start the class! Don't you know how to read from the textbook?" Chen Sheng didn't even bother looking at him, wondering why he had brought along such a useless burden.
The bald man was heavily built and burly but possessed the courage of a mouse.
Standing at the podium, he was completely at a loss, taking a long while before his trembling fingers finally flipped open the teaching materials.
"H-hi, class. I... I am Song Qiang, your Language... teacher..."
His voice was as faint as a mosquito's buzz and was completely drowned out by the noise in the classroom.
"What we are learning today is... is..."
The bald man was sweating bullets. It took him forever to turn to the second page.
"Today we are learning about the post... postpartum care of... female pigs?"
With his head lowered, the bald man continuously read from the teaching plan.
He didn't dare look up, much less attempt to maintain classroom discipline.
The students sported bizarre hairstyles, beneath which hid putrid, rotting faces that were unrecognizable from whatever they had once been.
Although they laughed and fooled around in their seats, the bald man could feel their gazes constantly fixed upon him.
Every.
Single.
Moment.
Omnipresent and penetrating.
Every pair of eyes was locked onto him.
The players standing by the door were also watching the bald man closely.
Fu Yan, however, leisurely strolled to the back door by himself and pressed his entire face against the glass panel.
[Ding! Fear Points +5]
Oh?
He was just checking out the environment and hadn't expected a bonus reward.
Fu Yan's gaze immediately zeroed in on the student who had contributed those Fear Points.
It was a boy with an edgy red hairstyle. He had been slouching in his seat with his head twisted a full one hundred and eighty degrees to chat with the girl behind him.
The moment he noticed Fu Yan looking at him, he instantly sat up straight and rotated his head back around.
Even though his eyes were filled with irritation, his body's reaction honestly betrayed his fear.
"What a good child with a passion for learning."
Fu Yan nodded, offering the edgy-looking student a glowing evaluation.
Shifting his attention away from the student, he began surveying the entire classroom.
The walls were painted a creamy white.
The class schedule was written on the blackboard in chalk, and a clock hung above it, displaying 8:40.
Pasted on the back wall were two red slogans:
'Great teachers make their own rules for teaching.'
'Being learned, patient, and forgiving are the fundamental traits of a teacher.'
Fu Yan stared at the two lines, a thoughtful expression crossing his face.
Noticing this, He Shuyang walked over and asked in confusion, "Is there something wrong with those sentences?"
Fu Yan nodded.
"I've figured out the Player Death Prerequisites."
