Reluctantly granting permission to enter, Aoi promptly thanked me and stepped inside.

"Sit there."

"Yes. Excuse me."

Despite her polite reply, I somehow felt pressure. With a feeling as if I were being intimidated, I sat on the sofa facing her. Aoi sat with her back straight, placed both her hands on her knees, and looked at me.

"...Let me at least brew some tea."

"Thank you."

Returning a wry smile to Aoi, who bowed her head deeply while seated, I quickly brewed tea using water and fire magic.

The gentle, pleasant aroma of tea spread through the room. It was a calming, good scent. But, why was it? As I poured tea into Aoi's cup sitting directly opposite me, I felt like a prisoner awaiting execution.

Carrying the heavy feeling with me, I sat down on my sofa again.

Saying this, Aoi picked up the cup and sipped at the freshly brewed tea. Just watching someone drink, I felt the taste of my familiar tea blooming in my mouth.

Maybe I should have some of my own too. Thinking that, I took the cup before me and brought it to my lips. As the tea flowed into my mouth, warmth and a slightly sweet aroma passed through my nose. Hmm, it was soothing.
