“Here, your stuff,” Bai Yu said, sliding the suitcase toward me.
“Mine?” I blinked at it, the realization dawning slow but sure.
“Yep,” she confirmed.
“You’re that sure I’ll need it?” I asked, fighting a smirk as I took the suitcase.
Even without much going on in the chest department yet, I could guess what was inside. Girl clothes, must be.
“You signed up for Witch School,” Bai Yu replied, eyeing the twitch at the corner of my mouth.
I tried to play it cool, but she wasn’t buying it. “Come on, don’t tell me you’re not itching to try them on.”
“Try them? Hell yeah, I want to try them! Thanks, Sister Bai—you’re the best!” I lunged forward for a hug, but she fended me off with one hand.
No biggie—I wasn’t bummed. I’d already scored big time here. No point in pushing for cuddles if she wasn’t having it.
I shrugged it off and popped the suitcase open with a few clicks. The lid sprang up, and a pile of clothes spilled out like they’d been dying to escape.
Looking at the chaos, I got why Bai Yu told me not to peek on the way here. If I’d opened this earlier, I’d have died of embarrassment right there on the spot.
I fished out something tiny—a scrap of fabric I’d never dealt with before. First time holding one, actually. My face went hot without me even noticing.
“That’s a bra,” Bai Yu said, leaning in like she was enjoying the show. “Girls start wearing them when they’re developing. Perfect for you right now.”
She grinned, clearly pleased with how I was squirming.
Guess I was still a guy at heart. Sure, I’d accepted the whole “girl” thing in theory, but when it came to actually changing my habits? Yeah, still awkward as hell.

The only thing holding me back was that dumb subconscious flinch.
But that flinch didn’t stand a chance. Bai Yu snatched the bra from my hand, and whatever resistance I had crumbled.
“Of course now,” she said, all confidence. “Since this is the first thing you grabbed, let’s start with it. Seems like you’ve got a special connection with this style, huh?”
Once she took charge, I knew I was done for. No saying no—not that I could’ve, anyway.
My mouth would’ve tripped over itself if I’d tried.
“O-okay!” My lips quivered for a second, almost refusing, but “okay” came out clear as day.
The moment I said it, a weight lifted—like I’d finally let go of something heavy. Now I was just waiting for Bai Yu to do whatever she wanted with me, and I was weirdly fine with it.
“What’re you spacing out for?” Bai Yu’s voice cut through my daze, snapping me back to reality. “How long are you planning to keep wearing those clothes? They don’t even fit right—take them off and try what I picked out for you. What, you don’t like them?”
“Clothes… no, wait, I want to try a skirt!” The words tumbled out before I could stop them, as she casually grabbed a girls’ top from the pile.
I froze. Did I just say that out loud?
“Alright, alright—whatever you want!” Bai Yu laughed, her tone dripping with indulgence. She caught the look on my face—half-stunned, half-realizing—and didn’t give me a chance to backtrack.

By now, my face felt like it was on fire, but I was trying hard to roll with it. My heart was pounding like crazy.
Without thinking, my fingers fiddled with the little decorations on the skirt’s hem—a nervous tic I didn’t even notice.
Bai Yu, though, didn’t miss a thing. That little move? Total proof I was still jittery inside.
Sure, I’d just boldly declared I wanted to wear a skirt, but now that it was on me, I clearly wasn’t used to it.
Still, she couldn’t help but think how cute I looked, pinching the hem like that.

“So, how’s it feel?” Bai Yu’s voice broke in just as I was basking in my own little glow.
“Pretty… pretty good,” I managed, stumbling over the words as I tried to calm the buzz in my chest.
The light-colored skirt looked damn nice on me, if I do say so myself. Maybe that’s my ego talking, boosted by a bit of vanity, but it was more than enough for a self-confidence fix.
“If you like it, how about trying a different style?” Bai Yu said, holding up another outfit with a gleam in her eyes. “Honestly, this skirt doesn’t quite match your witch cloak.”
“Sister Bai, are you turning me into your personal dress-up doll?” I shot her a look, half-exasperated as she grinned like she’d already won.
Truth is, I’m not big on swapping outfits a bunch in one go.
Even with clothes I don’t wear much, once they’re on, I’m too lazy to change again.
This one? I liked it. Maybe that’s where girls and I differ.
“Obviously!” she chirped. “So, you up for being my dress-up doll?”
