Ch. 115 - High-Level Players

"Help! Save me!"

"No!"

Screams echoed through the corridors. On the second night, many dormitories couldn't withstand the onslaught of the white-clad ghosts, their doors broken down, their occupants killed.

Some had managed to upgrade their doors with supplies gathered during the day, temporarily holding off the ghosts.

Others, emboldened by the broadcast announcement, ventured out to search for weapons, finding the means to fight back and reaping the rewards.

In the admin chat group, most of the administrators weren't watching the ordinary players, their attention focused on Ye Chuan.

Seeing him effortlessly clear out all the ghosts in the corridor, they weren't surprised.

After all, even the red-dressed ghosts couldn't stop him; the weaker white-clad ghosts on the second night were no match for him.

[He's really strong. What kind of weapon is he using?]

[Not sure, it must be super rare.]

[When are the high-level players entering? Watching this one-sided slaughter is boring.]

[This livestream is so dull, I'm leaving.]

The admin spoke—

[Admin: Don't worry, the high-level players will enter once they see this dungeon is open. After all, no one can resist an easy dungeon reward.]

Suddenly, a crack appeared in the ceiling at the top of the stairs, and amidst swirling light, two men and a woman appeared.

Compared to the ordinary players, they were fully equipped, with rifles and armor.

"Heh heh, what luck, a dungeon with no entry requirements, awesome!" a bald man grinned.

"Monster Dormitory is one of the more difficult beginner dungeons, we should still be careful. The boss isn't easy to deal with," the woman said.

"We're high-level players, you're afraid of a boss in a beginner dungeon?" the skinny man scoffed.

Just then, they noticed a few white-clad ghosts nearby.

"I'll take care of them!" The bald man summoned a large machete and charged towards the ghosts, slashing them down in a few swift strokes.

"Awesome!" The bald man hadn't experienced the thrill of instantly killing enemies in a long time.

Stats were everything.

"Still so reckless," the woman shook her head, then glanced at the skinny man. "What should we do next?"

"Heh heh, kill everyone in the dormitory, of course. We'll take all the rewards for ourselves."

"So cruel, no mercy for newbies?" the woman said.

"Hey, you've killed more players than I have, you have no right to call me cruel."

The bald man retorted, then slashed at an upgraded dormitory door. With a few loud bangs, the door broke down, revealing a terrified player inside.

"W-who are you?!" the man inside stammered.

"Yo, a pretty boy?" The bald man licked his lips and looked at his companions. "Can I have some fun?"

"Suit yourself," the woman shrugged. "Just remember to kill him."

"Heh heh."

Meanwhile, after clearing out the ghosts on the fifth floor, Ye Chuan sensed something.

"Huh?" It seemed to have gotten a lot livelier in the dormitory.

He took out his phone and checked; many small groups had ventured out, having heard that weapons would spawn at night.

"Not many ghosts today, I wish there were more," Ye Chuan said, not paying attention to the other players. He felt that there were fewer ghosts than usual.

That wasn't right.

There had been those red-dressed ghosts on the first night, why were the ghosts weaker on the second night?

And fewer in number?

Ye Chuan thought for a moment and remembered the broadcast announcement. 

Was it possible that everything happening here was being observed by some unseen administrator?

They had sent those red-dressed ghosts after him yesterday, after seeing his strength.

Thinking of this, Ye Chuan looked up at the empty wall and flipped it off. "Oi, are you even trying? Are you afraid of sending more ghosts?"

"Not enough to kill, not nearly enough."

[I knew it, this guy's a high-level player, he knows we're watching him.]

[Tsk tsk, so arrogant, daring to provoke us.]

[Admin, can you shut him up? This guy is too arrogant!]

[I think he must have obtained some rare item to be able to enter a beginner dungeon.]

The dungeon administrator seemed to have been provoked by Ye Chuan's gesture—

[Admin: I still have plenty of ghosts, let's see how arrogant he can be!]

Suddenly, Ye Chuan felt a change in the air.

A cold, bloody mist began to rise from the floor, and dozens of black-clad ghosts appeared, each with a far stronger aura than the red-dressed ghosts!

He sensed their strength; they were quite powerful, at least at the late Qi Refining stage.

"Too bad, still too weak," Ye Chuan shook his head. 

The difference between Foundation Establishment and Qi Refining was like heaven and earth, especially since he had achieved Heaven-Grade Foundation Establishment.

Seeing the black-clad ghosts lunging at him, Ye Chuan slashed with his sword, but they dodged. He decided to engage in close combat.

With a single strike, amplified by the Thunder Peachwood Sword's bonus against ghosts, he instantly killed a black-clad ghost!

The other ghosts swarmed him, but thanks to his Chaotic Indestructible Body, they couldn't even scratch him.

Like cutting vegetables, he quickly slaughtered all the black-clad ghosts.

Looking at the glowing spirit essences, Ye Chuan collected them all, satisfied. "So much, Lilith will have to call me Daddy."

"Any more? Don't tell me you're out," he taunted, but there was no response.

They had given up.

They truly had.

But then, Ye Chuan heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw two men and a woman coming down the stairs.

"Huh?" Ye Chuan noticed their equipment and was surprised.

Had they found so many good items?

The three of them also noticed Ye Chuan and were also surprised—

Where were the ghosts on this floor? Why was there only one person here?

"Nice weapon," the bald man said, noticing the Thunder Peachwood Sword in Ye Chuan's hand. 

He could tell it was a treasure and immediately grinned, wielding his machete.

"Mine now!"
