Ch. 1123 - Slaying The Black Dragon, Miss Jing's Plan

The surface of the Blackwater Lake churned violently, as if the Sea God himself had been enraged.

The waters grew ever more treacherous.

Suddenly, another massive wave surged toward Xu Zimo.

With a thunderous boom, the wave shattered the void itself, the torrent roaring skyward as Xu Zimo struck down with his palm, crushing every surge of water into oblivion.

A dragon’s roar echoed through the heavens, deep, resonant, and soul-shaking.

From the depths of the lake, the colossal creature emerged once more, and Xu Zimo finally saw its true form.

It was an enormous ancient bone dragon, crowned with two horns and immense in size.

A bone dragon was, in truth, a lesser being than a Dragon God, a remnant born when a dragon’s corpse, long after death, absorbed the miasma of wandering spirits and came back to life.

In other words, it was a kind of living dead, or more precisely, a living dead dragon.

The ancient bone dragon’s body was titanic, stretching across nearly half the Blackwater Lake, hundreds of thousands of meters long. One could only imagine how powerful it must have been in life.

When its fangs lunged forth, Xu Zimo stepped down with his blade, Shadow Tyrant, the air exploding beneath his feet.

A deafening rumble followed, detonations bursting through the void.

The immense impact hurled the ancient bone dragon back into the lake, while Xu Zimo soared even higher into the sky.

The bone dragon roared in fury, its voice echoing like thunder.

“Human, you should not disturb Lady Myriad Flowers’ peace.”

Xu Zimo laughed.

“So the Dragon Race now serves as dogs? Even half-dead, you still have no shame before your ancestors.”

On the Primordial Heartlands, the Dragon Race had nearly been wiped out, first in the war against Sky Shroud War God, and later because many of their strongest had ascended.

But here, in the Outer Heavens, dragons were still immensely powerful, feared by all, their very name enough to silence crying infants.

The ancient bone dragon snorted coldly.

“I no longer belong to the Dragon Race. Those old fools are bound by their pride. Following Lady Myriad Flowers is the only true path.” Then it added, “Human, will you not join us? You will never regret it.”

Xu Zimo chuckled.

“Being a dog yourself isn’t enough, now you’re recruiting?”

“Fool!” the dragon roared, wrath bursting forth.

From its bones poured thick ghostly mists, turning its white skeletons pitch-black.

The immense creature charged forward, spewing dark vapors that coalesced into skeletal wraiths, all rushing toward Xu Zimo.

With a sweep of his blade, a wave of sharp, boundless sword energy tore through the darkness, shredding the mists.

He stepped forward, each stride cracked the void beneath his feet, ripples spreading like shattered glass.

Shadow Tyrant slashed downward, and the bone dragon lunged with jaws wide open to devour him.

The dragon’s roar shook the sky.

Xu Zimo’s eyes flashed. With a twist of his wrist, he spun the blade half a circle, the tip thrust into the dragon’s upper jaw, the hilt braced against the lower.

As the dragon bit down, the blade pierced through its mouth.

A piercing shriek split the heavens.

Xu Zimo unleashed his Primordial God-Scriptures, and his body swelling to match the dragon’s size.

With a thunderous boom, the bone dragon crashed back into the lake, writhing in agony.

Xu Zimo followed, plunging straight into the raging waters.

He stood firm amid the storm, waves crashing violently around him.

Grabbing the dragon’s tail with both hands, he smashed it against the lake.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Water exploded skyward, crashing back in torrents as the dragon howled in pain.

Xu Zimo didn’t stop, he swung it left and right, slamming it dozens of times, until the entire Blackwater Lake seemed to overflow.

Finally, he flung the near-dead creature onto the shore.

The dragon, trembling and broken, still muttered weakly:

“Lady Myriad Flowers will revive me… you will meet a miserable end…”

Xu Zimo sneered.

“Revive you? As another undead puppet, perhaps.”

“No matter what I become, Lady Myriad Flowers can make it happen…” the bone dragon whispered faintly.

“Pathetic creature,” Xu Zimo said coldly.

Flames from the Nomological Truth of Fire ignited in his hand.

He cast them down, engulfing the dragon in a sea of fire.

It writhed and roared as its bones turned ashen gray, melting together into a lump of molten residue.

Xu Zimo kicked the remains into the depths of the lake, where the waves swallowed it whole.

His gaze shifted forward, the Hundred Flowers Valley was now just one step away.

Ahead lay Chaos Cloud Ravine, where a staircase rose like a path into the heavens.

The gorge’s river flowed down into the sea, its steps reaching for the sky.

Sheathing Shadow Tyrant, Xu Zimo swept his long robe and walked toward the gorge.

Fallen leaves swirled beneath his feet, carried by the wind.

Soon, his figure vanished into the drifting sand and mist.

Meanwhile, outside Brahma City, Miss Jing sat upon an airship, beside the unconscious Moon-Pluck Fairy.

Her gaze was calm and steady as the ship glided through the void.

Suddenly, the once-clear sky twisted into a swirling vortex ahead.

Without hesitation, the spirit ship entered the vortex.

Miss Jing remained composed.

On the other side lay a void realm, silent and endless.

Above the ship, a giant, eerie face formed out of nothingness.

Its features seemed visible yet impossible to remember, as if the mind refused to retain them.

“He has discovered it,” the face said, its deep, echoing voice vibrating through the void.

“Yes,” Miss Jing replied softly. “But he should soon meet Fairy Myriad Flowers.”

“Since the first plan failed, initiate the second,” said the voice.

“I’ll need to stay hidden for a while,” Miss Jing answered.

“Then who will execute the plan?” the voice asked.

Miss Jing looked at the unconscious Moon-Pluck Fairy and smiled faintly.

“Isn’t she the perfect candidate?”

“Go find Gongyang Ce, the Godfiend Abyss Heaven needs to be reminded of its place,” the voice commanded.

With that, the face faded, and the void dissolved back into the calm expanse of space.

Miss Jing turned and slowly walked toward the sleeping Moon-Pluck Fairy.

In the Godfiend Abyss Heaven, one of the Nine Heavens, the world was utterly unique, ruled entirely by the Ancient Demon Race.
