Ch. 70 - No Holds Barred

It had to be said that Ye Chuan was quite skilled with his words, easily provoking Huang Haotian into a rage.

Seeing Huang Haotian's face turning red, Ye Chuan sighed and put on a concerned expression.

"Are you alright? Are you feeling unwell? I can recommend a good veterinary clinic, mention my name for a 10% discount."

A veterinary clinic?

Huang Haotian glared at Ye Chuan. Wasn't this clearly calling him an animal?!

Not only the insult, but also that fake concern made Huang Haotian feel disgusted.

"Your mother—"

"No good deed goes unpunished. I'm just showing concern, and I get cursed at, sigh…" Ye Chuan shook his head and sighed. 

"There really is a difference between humans and animals. Some just can't be civilized."

If he wasn't afraid of getting beaten up by Ye Chuan, Huang Haotian would have lunged at him. As the school bully, he was used to being the one doing the bullying, how could he tolerate such insults?

"What a sharp tongue. I'm really curious how you managed to defeat so many members of our Taekwondo Club." At this moment, Ye Chuan noticed a well-built man standing beside Huang Haotian.

Ye Chuan looked Kim Jong-hee up and down, suddenly remembering the "trouble" An Shiyu had mentioned.

Was this it?

Didn't seem like much trouble.

"You're the former president of the Taekwondo Club?" Ye Chuan asked.

"That's right, I am Kim Jong-hee." Seeing that Ye Chuan knew him, Kim Jong-hee smiled faintly. After all, he was the national runner-up in Taekwondo, a title of no small renown.

"Oh, I almost raised my hand in respect," Ye Chuan said casually, twitching his lips.

Ye Chuan seemed disinterested in the Taekwondo Club's affairs. 

Looking at Kim Jong-hee, he casually added, "So, are you here to sign up for a beating? Five thousand yuan per person."

"Isn't it one thousand?!" Huang Haotian immediately questioned. It had only been one thousand a few days ago.

Were they raising the price now?!

Ye Chuan spread his hands innocently. "I'm also very tired, you know. And are you guys still planning to gang up on me? If so, I can give you a group discount."

Seeing the murderous glares from the Taekwondo Club members, Ye Chuan remained calm, as if their gazes weren't directed at him.

Or rather, he simply didn't care.

"No need, I'm enough," Kim Jong-hee said with a faint smile, seeing Ye Chuan's arrogance. "You want a registration fee, right? I'm afraid you won't live to spend it."

"None of your business," Ye Chuan rolled his eyes. "Get lost."

These people were here to cause trouble; Ye Chuan wasn't going to be polite.

The smile on Kim Jong-hee's face faded. He took a deep breath. "Xiaogui, Huang Haotian, give him ten thousand yuan!"

Huang Haotian froze. Why him again?

He didn't have any money left.

The debt he owed, even with monthly installments, wasn't a small amount. And because of this incident, his family knew about his gambling, and his allowance had been cut off.

Under the pressure of Kim Jong-hee's gaze, Huang Haotian looked at the other club members, but they all avoided his gaze, as if saying, "Don't ask me, I'm broke."

Huang Haotian, realizing he could still borrow some more, gritted his teeth and said to Ye Chuan, "Do you dare to bet with us?"

"Bet on what?" Ye Chuan was a little surprised that Huang Haotian wanted to gamble.

"I…" Huang Haotian thought about his outstanding debts and his remaining credit lines, then said, "I'll bet one hundred thousand! You bet one hundred thousand! Winner takes all!"

Ye Chuan raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say you had no money?"

This guy had clearly lost everything last time, how did he have money again?

Was he an ATM? This Huang Haotian guy, so eager to lose his money…

Ye Chuan was starting to like him.

"You think I'm as poor as you? A little bit of pocket money from my family is more than you'll ever earn in your life," Huang Haotian sneered.

"Oooooh~" Ye Chuan made a teasing sound.

"Look at Mr. Moneybags, how about two hundred thousand?"

Hearing "two hundred thousand," Huang Haotian's face changed slightly, but he still put on a brave front. 

"Fine, two hundred thousand is no problem for me, but do you have two hundred thousand? You can't even afford your own meals."

Hearing that Ye Chuan was going to bet two hundred thousand with Huang Haotian, Luo Xi lowered her voice and said, "ChuanChuan, I have some savings, I'll give it all to you."

Ye Chuan squeezed Luo Xi's hand gently, then took out his phone.

Seeing Ye Chuan's Redmi, Huang Haotian sneered, but his sneer quickly vanished as Ye Chuan showed him his balance.

"Where did you get this money?! Weren't you just saying you can't even afford your own meals?!" Huang Haotian immediately questioned.

His words made Huang Haotian's face darken.

He had no money.

Was he supposed to show Ye Chuan his loan limit?

Wouldn't that be utterly humiliating?

"My money is in my bank card, I haven't downloaded mobile banking, so what? I can still get it," Huang Haotian said.

"Since we're betting, we need a reliable middleman, right?" Ye Chuan said, as if thinking of a suitable candidate.

"Oh, you want me to be the middleman? Sure," a short-haired girl appeared ten minutes later.

An Shiyu looked at Ye Chuan, then at the Taekwondo Club members, and made a peace sign. "No problem, one thousand yuan handling fee."

As the granddaughter of the school director, An Shiyu was a perfectly suitable middleman.

"I'll pay the thousand. Transfer the money," Ye Chuan said, transferring two hundred thousand to An Shiyu, then gestured towards Huang Haotian.

"I…" Huang Haotian froze.

"Huang Haotian, what are you doing? Don't you trust me?!" Seeing Huang Haotian hesitate, Kim Jong-hee frowned.

"No, Brother, I just have a stomachache, I need to go to the bathroom, be right back!"

With that, Huang Haotian quickly left, leaving everyone looking at each other.

Was he about to have explosive diarrhea?

About twenty minutes later, Huang Haotian returned with a smile. "Much better. Two hundred thousand, right?"

"Did you borrow it?" Ye Chuan asked.

"You… bullshit! I just withdrew it from my fixed deposit account," Huang Haotian snapped at Ye Chuan.

Ye Chuan shrugged.

Then Huang Haotian transferred the two hundred thousand to An Shiyu.

Seeing the money arrive in An Shiyu's account, Ye Chuan looked at Kim Jong-hee.

"So, what are the rules?"

"Free combat," Kim Jong-hee said with a cruel smile.

"No holds barred, until one of us is down."

(ED: Dude, that Kin-guy is so effing pathetic. Isn’t he like an adult and all. Stop bullying your junior, you dumb sick joke of a person and do your stuff with your own money. Has he gone senile or smth? Ew. Whatever I become, it ain’t gonna be close to this human meat stuffed dog. )
