At Tiandao Palace in the Heavenly Realm…

Ever since Ning Yechen wrecked half of Tiandao Palace with a casual blow, other than collecting intelligence from all over the Heavenly Realm, the disciples had been busy repairing the place.

Knowing that the Demon Lord, Ye Mochen, would return to Tiandao Palace in the near future, everyone felt anxious.

After Ning Yechen slowly landed from the sky, he swaggered into Tiandao Palace as if he were returning home.

After what had happened, the disciples of Tiandao Palace recognized Ning Yechen the moment they saw him. Everyone panicked and hid as far away as they could.

Seeing Ning Yechen walking up the jade steps, the guard outside the main hall stumbled inside and shouted at the top of his lungs, “An-Ancestor, the Demon Lord is here again!”

Swish, swish, swish!

Tiandao Wentian and a group of elders hurriedly flew over to welcome Ning Yechen at the entrance. “Greetings, Demon Lord.”

“Cut the crap. Just give me the results.” Ning Yechen did not want to waste his time. He walked straight into the main hall, sat down, and casually took a fruit on the table beside him.

Ever since he hid his true identity from Luo Ruying, he had not had the chance to eat heavenly fruits.

Since he was out in the Heavenly Realm without his wife around, he wanted to take the opportunity to eat more heavenly fruit. Otherwise, he would not have the chance to do it back home.

Tiandao Wentian and the others also wanted to send this dreadful man away as soon as possible. They quickly walked over to Ning Yechen, bowed, and reported the results of their investigation over the past few days.

“Demon Lord, regarding the woman Luo Ruying you asked about and her background, we, along with other forces of the Heavenly Realm, have investigated her.

“Luo Ruying is from the Temple of Goddess Luo in the Northern Sea Heavenly Domain. However, there is no recent news about her.

“Over a century ago, she left the Temple of Goddess Luo. No one knows where she has gone. Even the people from the temple don't have any news about her.”

Tiandao Wentian secretly observed Ning Yechen’s expression, worried that Ning Yechen was unhappy with the results.

They had combed through almost the entire Heavenly Realm, and this was all the information they could get.

Ning Yechen held his cheek with one hand, gently rapping the chair armrest with the fingers of his other hand in contemplation.

He was indeed not pleased with the results of their investigation, but he did not make things difficult for Tiandao Palace.

He knew they must have done their best to investigate. Since this was the only information they could find, this had to be all there was.

At least he now knew the force behind her. This was useful.

“Okay, thank you.” Ning Yechen stood up. On the way, he took all the heavenly fruits on the table. He walked out of the main hall and waved goodbye to Tiandao Wentian and the others with his back facing them.

Seeing Ning Yechen leave, they were relieved that the terrifying man was done with them. Tiandao Wentian beamed and said ingratiatingly, “We are exceptionally glad we could help, Demon Lord.”

“Really?“ Ning Yechen turned around and smiled at Tiandao Wentian. “Since you have this intention, I will call on you again in the future.”

He naturally knew that Tiandao Wentian was just being polite.

The last thing these people wanted was for him to return.

The more this was the case, the more Ning Yechen should visit again.

Tiandao Wentian’s cheek twitched slightly. He felt as though he had swallowed a fly. He wanted to slap himself! This stupid mouth of mine! Of all things, did I have to say that?

If the Demon Lord kept looking for them, it would be miserable!

The elders behind Tiandao Wentian looked upset, but they could not reprimand their ancestor. Ancestor, why did you say that? He took it seriously…

At the Temple of Goddess Luo in the Northern Sea Heavenly Domain…

The halls in the temple had a circular layout, and the buildings were arranged in rows. At the center of the temple stood a statue of a female goddess of roughly thirty meters tall.

The female statue was wearing armor and holding a sword pointing forward with her back straight. She looked confident and heroic like a female general.

At this moment, there was panic everywhere in the Temple of Goddess Luo, and many people were even escaping.

Recently, rumors about Ye Mochen, the supreme Demon Lord of the Demon Realm, returning to the Heavenly Realm had spread. Moreover, he was looking for a woman named Luo Ruying!

Luo Ruying was from the Temple of Goddess Luo!

People assumed Luo Ruying had offended the Demon Lord and that he was here to seek revenge. They were so frightened that they could not eat or sleep well, and many even ran away.

Little did they know that the man they were worried about was already here.

After leaving Tiandao Palace, Ning Yechen quickly arrived in the sky above the Temple of Goddess Luo.

The Temple of Goddess Luo could not compare to the likes of Tiandao Palace in terms of size. At best, they were considered a third-rate sect in the Heavenly Realm.

Even though they were small, they had impressively been able to nurture a Heavenly Empress like Luo Ruying.

Unfortunately, they did not appreciate her!

What should I do? Should I destroy them? Ning Yechenpondered while looking down at the Temple of Goddess Luo.

It was easy enough to destroy it since all it would take was a single slap.

But this was his wife's former home after all. If he destroyed it directly, it was no different from wiping out his wife's family.

It did not seem appropriate.

After giving it some thought, Ning Yechen wanted to sound them out before deciding on a course of action.

In an instant, Ning Yechen disappeared.

Inside a study in the Temple of Goddess Luo…

A composed middle-aged man was sitting in the study, focusing on reading a book.

Suddenly, the lights flickered slightly. Luo Tianya’s eyes constricted, and a look of horror appeared on his face.

He could sense someone standing behind him in the shadows!

He was at the Heavenly Venerable realm, but he did not detect the other party at all!

If the other party had hidden his presence, Luo Tianya would not have even noticed!

Luo Tianya snapped out of his thoughts and gently closed his book. Without looking back, he said calmly, “Sir… No, Demon Lord, it's an honor for you to visit us at this hour.”

Considering the Demon Lord’s abilities and the recent rumors about him, Luo Tianya could guess the intruder's identity.

Ning Yechen did not conceal anything. He swaggered out from behind Luo Tianya, walked over to a chair, and sat down.

Luo Tianya had no intention of resisting or calling for help.

He knew that the Temple of Goddess Luo had no hope of resisting the Demon Lord.

“Demon Lord, are you here to destroy the Temple of Goddess Luo?” Luo Tianya asked, seemingly prepared for the worst.

“That depends on your answer.” Ning Yechen crossed his legs, leaned his cheek on his hand, and looked at Luo Tianya glacially.

This sounded like nothing was for sure yet. Luo Tianya felt hopeful and took the initiative to apologize. “Demon Lord, may I ask how my daughter has offended you? We will do everything we can to make up for it.”

“No, she didn’t offend me. You did.” Ning Yechen pointed coldly at Luo Tianya.

Luo Tianya frowned slightly. No matter how he thought about it, he could not recall how the Temple of Goddess Luo could have offended the Demon Lord.

This was even the first time they met.
