Vol. 1 - Ch. 32 - Vampire weaknesses

“How did it go?"

Yuki asked worriedly. I said softly.

“It's fine. He's a vampire. He'll recover in no time.”

“Oh that’s good. I was worried.”

“But we’re vulnerable to silver. We have no problem touching it, we just have a weak spot. If we were to be hit in that area with a sterling silver object, our lives would be in jeopardy.”

“So.......oh?"

Yuki's eyes widened . Did she think he was immortal? I am immortal though.

“I'm tired today. I'm going home.”

It was true, today was supposed to be my day off. I was really tired. Kazuya would probably recover by tomorrow, but I'd asked him to continue pretending to be a patient.

“I'm going with you."

And she started getting ready to go home.

“Isn't it still working hours?”

“I can't leave you alone.”

The other doctors in the doctor's office were looking at me warmly....I guess our relationship has officially been recognized.

Then let’s go home together.

I went home, took a shower, and laid down on the couch.

“Hey. Can I ask you something?”

I sat down at the dining table and faced Yuki.

“About my dependents. Kazuya is now my dependent. Originally, he was my mother Maries', but now he can be the dependent of anyone who is related to her by blood. My mother is no longer with us. Besides, I made a blood pact with Kazuya.”

“What is a blood pact?”

After I said that, Yuki left the room slamming the door shut. But for some reason I didn’t hear the expected slam, instead I saw a figure at the door.

"Are you sure? You don’t have to follow after her.”

There was Leonardo.

“Why are you here?”

“Kazuya asked me to stay with you. if anything should happen to him, he had asked me to take care of you. Besides, the young lady also has an escort. Your dependent is excellent. We've talked a lot about what happens after this while you were giving your lecture.”
