Within Ji Haoyue’s Oceanic Wheel Phenomenon, the blue sea shimmered with waves, and a bright moon hung high in the sky. At this moment, it slowly rotated, its moonlight flowing like water, cascading down toward Yan Ruyu.
“Ah…” Many demon cultivators around her screamed as they were instantly shattered. Even the soft glow spilling from the moon’s edge was more than they could bear.
Moon Rises Over The Sea, a rarity in the world. Not even powerful celestial treasures could withstand it. None could compete. Amidst the chaotic battle, demon race corpses rained down from the sky, any touched by the moonlight perished instantly.
Facing it head-on, Yan Ruyu was enveloped by the most radiant moonlight, and thus, subjected to the most powerful assault. The pure white light, like a thin veil of smoke, cloaked her figure.
Clang!
Yan Ruyu appeared ethereal and divine. Behind her, a Phenomenon emerged, Sea and Sky as One. The sky sparkled like sapphire, the sea as clear as a mirror. Golden lotuses bloomed from the water, each leaf bejeweled with dewdrops, radiating vibrant life, dazzling and magnificent.
A breeze blew. The sea rippled. Lotuses bloomed, teeming with vitality. It was as if they had returned to the primordial age, where the world first formed, chaotic energy swirled faintly.
Nearby, many Ji Clan experts hadn’t even reacted before their bodies were converted into purest spiritual energy by this overwhelming life force, dying without understanding why.
Sea and sky merged, golden lotuses glowing, as if creation itself was beginning anew.
Clang, clang, clang!
All the moonlight that had fallen was caught by the golden lotuses, emitting waves of metallic sound. Rays of radiant light burst out. Divine brilliance in every direction. Yan Ruyu stood like a celestial being in the Jade Pool.
Bitter Sea Sprouting Golden Lotuses and Moon Rises Over The Sea, these were peerless Oceanic Wheel Phenomena, relics of ancient might. Few in the modern era could cultivate even one.
Ji Haoyue’s expression changed. He stepped through the void, quickly approaching, graceful as a wild goose, agile and swift. The moon above him plummeted toward Yan Ruyu, attempting to crush her.
Its glow alone could annihilate greater demons. Now, the full moon descended. One could imagine the devastating power it carried.
Yan Ruyu’s figure remained serene and blurred. She looked ethereal. Behind her, golden lotuses swayed in the wind, blooming radiantly. Their petals rose to meet the sky, shimmering like crystals. In an instant, the full moon was engulfed.
On the battlefield, the two looked like immortals descending to the mortal world, their robes fluttering, their confrontation poetic and elegant. But the onlookers did not see it that way.
Everyone was retreating in haste. Though the duel’s center was calm, like a breeze brushing a hill, the surroundings were in chaos, almost violent.
The hazy moonlight and golden lotus radiance surged in all directions like a tidal wave. Nothing could resist. Many were obliterated before they could scream, turned to dust, leaving nothing behind.
It was an unbelievably terrifying clash.
Such was the awe-inspiring might of Oceanic Wheel Phenomena. Ordinary cultivators stood no chance.
Ji Haoyue’s eyes shone with purple light, carrying an almost demonic aura. Behind him, the vast sea surged. He was fully serious now. The moon revolved around him, godpower coalescing rapidly.
Yan Ruyu remained otherworldly. Her flawless figure blended with the golden lotuses. Boundless vitality surged around her. The blooming lotus blossoms stretched upward like ancient trees, reaching into the heavens.
At that moment, amid the mountains, the ocean surged, the moon fell, and the golden lotuses split the sky. A radiant scene unfolded, accompanied by ethereal celestial music.
Everyone fled further. A few demon race elites used this chance to break free.
Moments later, at the center of the battlefield, the moon shattered, the lotuses withered, the ocean roared, and a terrifying scene unfolded.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE, !
Even those retreating swiftly couldn’t outrun the radiant blasts. Many were pierced through, consumed by the searing glow, perishing in flames, blood filling the sky.
At the center, as things settled, Ji Haoyue’s purple robe was torn, and a lock of Yan Ruyu’s hair floated down. The two stood opposed.
“Your Highness, go! Don’t risk yourself for us!” Three elderly demon women shouted anxiously from afar, unleashing spiritual treasures to shield Yan Ruyu and urging her to retreat.
Meanwhile, five Ji Clan elders released their weapons in the distance to assist Ji Haoyue. As if guarding a rare treasure, they were determined to protect the God-King Physique at all costs.
“You must leave!” Yan Ruyu ordered the three old women to withdraw and stow their treasures.
Clang, !
Above Ji Haoyue’s head, an ancient bronze mirror floated, emanating waves of chaotic light. Though far apart, it vibrated gently, and instantly turned the three demon elders into dust. Their bodies reduced to blood mist.
The mirror’s power was overwhelming!
Yan Ruyu couldn’t stop it. Her body radiated godlight. In her palm, a beam shone like a slice of rainbow, sharp and blinding, unleashed as an attack.
Puff puff puff!
The Ji Clan elites who had come to assist, even though the mirror’s chaotic aura protected them, could not escape. They were pierced through and killed instantly.
In the distance, three transcendent elders of the Ji Clan stood silently in the sky, their hair and beards white, their presence ethereal.
“The Demon Emperor’s weapon truly lives up to its name,” one said quietly.
The Ji Clan’s heritage ran deep. The bronze mirror was a mysterious, ancient weapon, passed down since the primordial era from their progenitor. Its power was unfathomable.
Likewise, the sacred weapon in Yan Ruyu’s hand had an illustrious origin, once wielded by the Demon Emperor himself. Its terror was beyond question.
Across the Eastern Wilderness, aside from the Desolate Tower, these two relics were among the highest-level sacred artifacts.
At first, neither dared to unleash their weapons, wary of the consequences. If these two collided, what would happen was unpredictable.
The bronze mirror was ancient and plain, inscribed with mysterious runes. It gave off a natural, Dao-like aura, forming the runes of Dao and Law, birthing chaos. Its presence was unnerving.
Now, the mirror merged with Ji Haoyue’s moon, both rising high in the sky. As they vibrated, Primordial Energy spread out.
The mirror grew rapidly, vast and ancient, then descended to suppress all.
Yan Ruyu, like a fairy upon the clouds, was surrounded by a heavenly tower built from golden lotuses. Still, no one could discern the shape of the Demon Emperor’s weapon.
At that moment, her hair danced in the wind, and her eyes shone with godlight. All the golden lotuses behind her soared into the sky, merging with the Demon Emperor’s weapon, and together they charged toward the bronze mirror.
There was no deafening explosion. No overwhelming energy waves. Everything was as calm as still water. A wisp of cloud drifted by, and faint ripples of chaotic light spread outward.
It was as if nothing had happened.
After a long silence, the two figures at the battlefield’s center trembled, both retreating repeatedly. The mirror fell back into the ocean, the golden lotuses wilted, and the Demon Emperor’s weapon sank into the blue sea.
Silently, the surrounding mountains crumbled to ash, like melting snow, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
This terrifying sight stunned everyone. A chill spread through their hearts. Had they not retreated in time, none would have survived.
Seeing that the stone coffin and Ye Fan had already escaped, Yan Ruyu did not rejoice. She sighed softly, her face filled with helplessness. She could no longer rescue the others, this was all she could do.
Aside from Ji Haoyue’s unfathomable God-King Physique, her greatest concern was the three transcendent elders overhead. They had protected him from beginning to end, closely monitoring the battlefield, putting immense pressure on her.
Yan Ruyu, flawless in beauty, eyes like still water, glanced over the surrounded demon cultivators. Her lips parted.
“I’m sorry.”
“Your Highness, don’t fight for us anymore! Just leave!”
All the demon experts shouted. The scene was tragic. They knew death was certain. In that moment, they all charged in different directions, attacking Ji Clan cultivators, trying to carve a bloody path for Yan Ruyu.
She looked at each of them silently, then transformed into a streak of rainbow light and shot toward the sky.
But Ji Haoyue and the three transcendent elders had already locked onto her like shadows, unwilling to let her escape.
“Kill…!”
A bloody massacre followed. Demon race cultivators fell from the sky, nearly all dying in battle.
Yan Ruyu flew like lightning, the rainbow trail splitting the sky, but she could never shake Ji Haoyue. The three elders, guardians of the God-King Physique, followed closely. Though not attacking, their presence was an unmatched threat.
At that moment, Ye Fan was already hundreds of miles away, protected by several old crones. He had broken through the encirclement safely. His heart was far from calm. Moon Rises Over The Sea, Bitter Sea Spouting Golden Lotuses, both had appeared in succession, each with power beyond comprehension.
Now, his mind was focused on only one thing, to grow stronger, to fully awaken the Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique!
As for the ancient mirror and Demon Emperor’s sacred weapon, they had also shaken him. According to the old women, both Ji Haoyue and Yan Ruyu had only used one-tenth of the weapons’ full power, yet the impact was already world-shattering.
“I really wonder... why are you protecting a human boy? Even in retreat, you didn’t abandon him.”
A crisp, melodious voice rang out, like pearls falling on jade plates.
Ahead of them stood a girl of about seventeen or eighteen, with several old men by her side, blocking the way.
The girl wore purple robes, her aura noble and beyond words. Yet when she smiled, a different charm emerged, playful, vibrant. A small dimple appeared on her left cheek, making her look both enchanting and mischievous.
The demon race old women frowned. Ji Haoyue wore purple robes too. This girl’s attire immediately drew associations.
She was exceptionally beautiful, large eyes, long lashes, brimming with life. She radiated a lively and spirited energy.
“Bring me that boy. I want to see what’s so special about him,” she giggled, her dimple deepening, her bright eyes narrowing into crescent moons.
