In the Castle of Syness, occupied under the direct supervision of the special attack force of the Demon Lord's Army, the Thunder-Lance Charge, the angry voice of Nephira, the commander, roared out. The demon soldiers were working on repairing the castle, terrified of Nephira's scolding.
Like Suzukiland, Syness Castle had also suffered damages from the invasion of the Salvation Crusaders. Nephira reprimanded the bird-headed demon Pholus.
"You have not repaired anything at all!! What the hell have you been doing!?"
"I sincerely apologize!!"
There were two reasons for Nephira's irritation.
The first reason was that she had asked Pholus to repair the castle while she was in the imperial capital for the Demon Lords Army's campaign meeting, but he hadn't been able to do as well as she had hoped. And the other reason was…

However, the Meru-Kiru sisters had come with them to the Imperial Capital under the pretense of being top-brass staff of the Thunder-Lance Charge. Nephira gritted her teeth as she recalled the dragoon carriage they had taken on the journey.
"Uh—. Rest time, not yet—?"
"Stay patient, Meru. We are almost at the Imperial Capital. Suzuki will be able to pee-pee in a little while, ya know!"
"No, I don't need to…"
"Really? Are you holding it in!? If you really need to do it, put it in this jar!"
"I'm telling you it's FINE! This pet treatment, I've had enough of it!"
"I'm worried you're going to die from bursting your bladder with pee-pee!"
"I'm not gonna hold it in until my bladder bursts."

Nephira's head ached as she recalled the top brass's failure. It wasn't just on the road. The Meru-Kiru sisters were constantly on both sides of Suzuki, arm-in-arm with him.

She would not take the Meru-Kiru sisters anymore. Nephira thought about Suzuki while making a firm pledge in her heart.
(Suzuki… Why aren't you by my side even though you're the commander adjutant? I am your Lord, aren't I? I'm your Lord, I mean, your precious person, or rather, your lover, right?… Anyway, it's not that I'm lonely! Sigh–!)
Nephira was in tears for a moment, but when the bird-headed demon Pholus came running toward her, she immediately tightened her face, exuding the dignity of a commander.

"I understand. I will be on my way. Now, you must make sure the demons hasten the repairs."

When Nephira opened the door to her quarters, she heard a sound like small winged insects. A large crystal ball on the desk showed the smiling face of Serphiano, the Demon Lord's Advisor.

The three-eyed demon Serphiano, who boasted the greatest intelligence within the Demon Lord's army, had also succeeded in remote communication using a crystal ball powered by magical power.
"So Nephira. What is going on? How is Leirune?"
