Allen unleashed magic at the approaching Noble Dragon.
A beam of blue and indigo light shoots out from his raised palm, cleanly piercing the beast’s wings without hesitation.
Its proud wings instantly froze solid, and it crashed helplessly to the ground.
But he had no time to catch his breath.
One after another, more monsters surged forward.

As Allen and Luu landed on a nearby monster's nest, a presence rushed towards them at breakneck speed. It was Gosetsu. He ferociously swung the branch he was holding in his mouth and leapt over their heads.
『Your methods are far too soft! How could she ever be saved like this!?』
“Shut up! What's wrong with being soft!?”
Blinding-fast slashes came crashing down on Allen.
Allen managed to block it just in time. His weapon was a sword of light made from bound magical power. It would be the perfect weapon for slaying monsters. Allen shouted as he fended off the onslaught.
"I've thought about that revenge you speak of, too! How many times have I thought about invading that country...!"
The people who hurt Charlotte were still living happily.
Every time this fact crossed his mind, a dark feeling welled up in his chest.
And ever since he realized his feelings for her, that darkness only grew deeper. Even so he had swallowed it down, again and again.
