When the hero entered the classroom late, Excella was not in her right mind.

"Lateness!? Punishable by Death!!"

She was worried it would end up in a situation like that.

However, his ability to be loved by demons was said to be a power given by the gods to the hero. Leos did not particularly punish the hero but simply let him sit down.

(Aahh, thank goddess…!)

Even so, the bloody classroom filled with the slaughtered corpses of the soldiers killed by Leos did nothing to ease Excella's fears. Excella nervously asked Nephira, who was standing next to her.

"Lady Nephira!! Is Lord Hero going to be alright!?"

"U-Uh-huh. As expected, I'm starting to get worried that Suzuki will be subjected to the same strict guidance…"

Even the usually calm Nephira's expression changed when the subject was the hero. Excella could feel her agitation.

Nephira turned to Excella with a very serious look on her face.

"Excella! If anything should happen, we will be there to stop him! Be prepared!"

"Y-YES!"

Excella replied, then gulped hard.

(That's right! When the time comes, we must protect Lord Hero!)

Before anyone noticed, the training had become a life-threatening hellish training. Leos glared at the hero with a "girori."

"In any case, Suzuki. I'm going to ask you to answer a question I raised when you weren't here."

(Wha–!? If that's the case, is it that absurd question!?)

"A human child falls on the street and cries.—— So, what do you do? One, Laugh. Two, Eat it. Three, Help… Answer with a number!"

(I knew it! It was that question! The correct answer is not within the numbers listed but "Laugh while you eat or eat while laughing"! B-But, Lord Hero being a human, surely…!)

As Excella expected, the hero immediately attempted to answer the question—

"That's easy, right? The answer, number three…"

(You mustn't, Lord Heroooo–!!)

"GOHOON GOHO-GOHO–!!"

Excella coughed as loudly as she could. All eyes in the classroom were on her. Of course, the hero was also looking back at her.

Excella continued coughing and waited for the right moment when the other students' gazes would turn away from her to some extent. And when Leos would take his eyes off of her as well.

(Now is the time! Lord Hero! Somehow, please acknowledge this as a signal.)

After locking eyes with the hero, who was worriedly watching Excella's coughing fit, Excella did a "while smiling moved one hand in a gesture of eating something" action.

Nephira, who stood next to her, noticed Excella's intention and whispered in her ear.

"OH! Good thinking, Excella! As I thought, you are quite the remarkable slave!"

"Thank you very much! But now we need to see if my message got conveyed to Lord Hero…!"

Excella glanced forward. The hero raised one corner of his mouth while holding up his thumb.

"All right, it will be fine! Excella! Your message has been clearly communicated to Suzuki!"

"Ah, I'm glad!"

The hero remained seated and turned to face Leos. He stared directly into Leos's eyes and said confidently.

"The answer is number three! 'Help'!"

""IIDIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT""

Excella and Nephira both exclaimed in unison.

(You didn't understand it at all, didn't you? This person! Then WHY did you give me a thumbs up earlier?! It's misleading!)

Although she usually acted ladylike as the former third princess, Excella was quite angry. She grinded her teeth "girigiri" at the hero who completely did not understand her meaning.

(Geez! What are you DOING, you idiot?! Give me back the time and effort I spent earlier!)

"I-In any case, we are in a terrible situation!"

Nephira's words made Excella calm down. Leos' face showed his clear dissatisfaction.

"Bastard…! Three, was it? That's…"

(AH–! He is going to say, "Incorrect" and "Then, DIE!")

"Lady Nephira!? Let's go save Lord Hero!!"

"N-No, wait, Excella! Suzuki is up to something!"

(Huh–?)

Once again, she looked forward. The hero slowly brought his right hand towards his head.

Then, "kotsun," he lightly tapped his head and at the same time stuck out his tongue.

"Pritis's 48 Gestures—Thirty-ninth Gesture, 'Bashful Plank Tongue (Tehepero)'!"

Next to Excella. Nephira stood there, wobbling and trembling.

"W-W-What cuteness–!! I know he's wrong, but I feel like I have to forgive him."

"I-Is that so? Although I just find it rather cheeky and detestable…!"

(But the teacher, Leos's reaction is…)

Excella breathed heavily and looked at Leos.

Leos clenched his sharp fangs with a "girigiri," but before long, he averted his gaze from the hero and opened his mouth.

"…Correct."

He said in a small voice.

(C-Correct answeeeeerrr!? This answer is obviously different from the previous one!!)

Surprise and joy intertwined, Excella and Nephira took each other's hands in delight.

"As expected! The power of Lord Hero is incredible, isn't it?"

"Ah!! I mean, it's because he is so cute!! Suzuki is!!"

Nephira, as if realizing what she was doing, shoved Excella's hand away. Even so, Excella smiled with relief.
