Ch. 11 - How to Hunt Orcs

"Does that even make sense?"

After seeing the man in front of the survivors, the bearded man, Go Ju Yeong, was at a loss of words.

"Three orcs."

They were on a completely different level than goblins. They were true warriors.

Humans have gradually become fatter due to modern technological advancements and a lack of exercise. But Orcs were not like that. They were a warrior race who were constantly engaged in battle.

He had managed to beat a group of orcs alone.

In the Anyang Amusement Park Dungeon, the trainer Lee HyunBin from Star Center was pretty popular.

A trainer that hadn't been able to awaken.

Most people would label someone as talentless if they didn't awaken by the age of thirty.

However, he had demonstrated strength comparable to a mid-rank... No, a top-ranking hunter.

They were both taken aback.

An orc wielding an ax walked towards where I was standing.

It extended its ax-wielding arm and pointed at us.

It appeared to be challenging for someone to come out and fight.

The bearded man mumbled some words. The others were reacting in the same way.

"Please remember this. Fight in pairs. At all costs, avoid a one-on-one confrontation," I said while smiling.

They appear to have understood what I said.

Now, it was time they did the warrior roleplay.

"Grr!"

The Orc in front of me seemed angry. Is it because I'm not carrying any weapon?

Should I have drawn a weapon just to show respect to my opponent? I picked up a stone from the floor and waved it at the Orc. Oops, it got even angrier.

It snatched the ax with all its might and charged at me.

The simulation most likely went something like this in its head.

It would slash me in an instant. Then it would start killing the other people one by one. The only thing going through its mind right now was probably trying to show everyone how powerful it is.

I threw my stone towards its face. It used the ax on its hand to block it. He hit it with such strength that the rock turned into dust.

There goes my weapon.

The Orc comes up to me.

I deflected his attack and countered with a low kick.

It snorted and reacted as if a mosquito had bitten it.

I hit him in the stomach but lost my balance and fell.

After watching me fall, the rest of the hunters groaned.

The orcs began to laugh.

I kicked him in the stomach, but it didn't hurt him at all. Instead of that, he bumped my head.

Because of the pain, I closed one of my eyes.

The Orc leisurely swung its club.

"Grrr!"

The Orc Champion was growing tired of the duel. No, it most likely assumed victory had already been decided.

The rest of the Orcs began to move after hearing the Champion's order.

"T... They're coming!"

From behind me, I could hear the guy shouting.

The Orcs began to move and targeted the hunters behind me.

The blondie and the other newbie were doing exactly what I had asked them to do.

"Well, then..."

If I beat the Orc that's in front of me, the one behind it is the Champion.

The rest of the group was doing everything they could to resist.

The Orc Champion stood back, arms crossed, watching everything from a safe distance.

It most likely believes there is no need for it to move.

Now that everything is going as planned, I should be able to hunt with ease.

The worst noses are those that aren't raised or lowered at all. A more prominent nose has a greater impact and creates a better first impression.

Although the only good Orcs are the ones that are dead.

The Orc Champion groaned and flashed its teeth.

It was wielding a razor-sharp two-handed sword.

I ran towards the Orc Champion.

The Orc Champion was a warrior who had fought many life-threatening battles and always claimed victory.

Orcs will not obey orders from those who are weaker than them.

If I kill the group's strongest Orc, the only one who can control everyone dies. Basically, the best thing we could do right now to survive was to kill the Orc Champion.

The Orc Champion attacks me, but I'm able to avoid it.

The air from the swing was so strong that I thought it would rip my skin off. I charged toward the Orc and bashed its chin with the ax after it had dried up.

I flinched. That guy hit my ax with its forehead.

With the two-handed sword in its hands, it targets my waist. This is going to be hard to dodge.

I blocked the sword with my ax, but the blow was still powerful. It peeled some of the skin off my hands because I wasn't wearing gloves.

I took a step back. The Orc Champion tried to slash me with his two-handed sword to finish me once and for all.

I avoided the frontal assault by striking his foot with my ax.

I could hear him crying. I extended my hands in the air, accessed the inventory, and grabbed the short sword. It immediately tried to attack me again.

I narrowed the gap between him and me. The larger your weapon, the more difficult it will be to fight an opponent close to you.

[ Double Cut.]

I used the skill of a hunter that was quietly resting inside my inventory.

I thrust the dagger into the Orc's hand and took advantage of the opportunity to grab its two-handed sword.

I drew back from the Orc Champion and slashed it with the two-handed sword.

Its red blood drew a diagonal line. The Orc Champion's eyes were shaking as if he couldn't believe what was going on.

Everyone witnessed the death of the Orc Champion, the strongest of the Orcs, in my hands.

The Orcs were all taken aback by what had just occurred. The blondie took advantage of the distraction to kill an Orc.

While gasping, the blondie smiled. Fortunately, the rest of the group was still alive.

"Oof..."

I breathed a sigh of relief. With the two-handed sword in my hands, I approached the orcs who were still alive.

We'd won the battle. It was an overwhelming victory for us.

The few orcs who were still alive escaped. They won't be able to form a group again now that their leader has died. At least not for the time being.

They could fight us individually, but they would be at a massive disadvantage.

Even amid this favourable situation, there was a problem.

"Ugh..."

"W... What should we do? He's losing too much blood!"

The Magician was feeling relentless. After all, the one that had protected him had received a fatal blow.

"P... Please... Tell my clan... And friends... To protect in place of me..."

It almost looked like a funeral. The bearded man was also badly injured. But the other person was coughing blood.

It seemed like they wanted to ask me about what had happened, so I tried to explain to them.

"Hi. How much is the reward for catching the villain?"

'Oops, I subconsciously asked about money first.'
