The Sniper Wants A New Rifle
The Town of Beginnings.
I catch up with Rikocchi using a [Friend Jump], and we walk down the main street side by side.
No matter how many times I see it, the buildings are amazingly well-crafted.
It’s the kind of town I’d expect from a medieval fantasy world.
Suddenly, I notice some other players glancing at me as I pass by.
I can hear them whispering something.
“Hey, isn’t that Rikocchi?”
“Yeah, from Justice Wing…”
“She’s so cute.”
“I want to get close…”
“Who’s the old eyesore next to her?”
“That old man with Rikocchi… I can’t stand him.”
“He must die.”
“What is it, Senpai?”
I put my face close to hers and whisper:
“Are you a famous person by any chance?”
“Hmm… Maybe it’s because our guild is so famous.”
“Is it called Justice Wing?”
Rikocchi chuckles, probably noticing the subtle look on my face.
“Senpai! Please don’t misunderstand me. I say we’re enforcing justice, but all of our guild members are just having fun playing that way.”
“Is that so?”
“That’s right! There’s no one who’s so biased that they really think they’re righteous and should put down the bad guys.”
“Oh, I see. Well, if that’s the case.”
I thought it was some kind of dangerous group.
It’s like an extension of a small child playing with a squadron.
It’s funny to think so.
“Senpai, aren’t you looking at me with affection?”
“It’s just your imagination.”
“Really? Oh, it’s here. We’ve arrived.”
It’s a secluded store on a back street.
The sign says, [Kaji’s Blacksmith Shop].
I ring the doorbell, then enter the store.
“Hello. Is Kaji-san here?”
Rikocchi calls out, and a big guy comes out from the back.
Wow, he’s got great muscles. He’s muscular and dark.
“Oh, Welcome. Oh, isn’t it Rikocchi-chan?”
“Hello, Kaji-san! You’re as muscular as ever.”
“Haha, I go to the gym every day.”
Kaji is posing.
It’s no wonder he’s in the bodybuilder championships.
“What’s up with you today? You want a new staff?”
“Hmm. I’ve brought a customer!”
Kaji-san stares at me.
His muscles are huge and he’s taller than me, so he’s intimidating.
I’m a little intimidated, but I greet him.
Kaji’s watching me closely, but suddenly he smiles.
“It’s rare to see a sniper rifle. You’re an expert, aren’t you? What’s your name?”
“I’m Kaji. Nice to meet you.”
We shake hands firmly.
His hands are so big.
“All right, Kentaro. What can I get for you?”
“I’m looking to get rid of my initial gear. I need a sniper rifle stronger than this one.”
“Well, no matter how many I make, it will definitely be stronger than your initial gear.”
Kaji crosses his arms.
“Rikocchi-chan. Looking at the equipment, is Kentaro a novice?”
“Well, that’s right!”
“I see. As a blacksmith, I have to be kind to novices.”
Kaji smiles at me.
He seems to be a nice guy.
“But as you know, I didn’t put a lot of skill points into making sniper rifles.”
“Ahaha. It’s okay, it just has to be stronger than the initial gear.”
“Oh, really? Hahaha.”
We’re both convinced of something, but I don’t disagree.
I wouldn’t even have access to a blacksmith if I was on my own in the first place.
“The most powerful rifle I can make… well, I guess. Here are the materials.”
Kaji operates the panel in the air and shows us the materials.
What’s that? Silver ingots, iron ingots, and a few abrasives each….
“I can make ingots with my blacksmithing skills, so I’d like you to bring silver ore and iron ore. There are also abrasives, but you can buy them at the NPC shop.”
“As long as you have the materials, you can make it right away?”
“Yeah. Unlike in real life, once you activate your blacksmithing skills, it’s instantaneous.”
Kaji raises his strong arms.
It’s uncomfortable, but he certainly looks dependable.
“How much would you like to be paid?”
“I don’t know. How about this?”
The price he offered is probably a little discounted from the fair price.
It’s true what he says about being nice to novices.
“Okay. I’ll get you the materials as soon as I can, okay?”
“Yeah, I got it.”
“I’ll come back again next time.”
“Ha-ha-ha. Come anytime.”
I say goodbye to Kaji, who smiles, and leave the store.
“How’s it? Isn’t Kaji-san a nice person?”
“Yeah, He’s a little intimidating though.”
“Ahaha. That’s one of his characteristics.”
Rikocchi laughs, then suddenly turns serious.
“Do you have mining skills, Senpai?”
“That’s right. Then how do you collect the ore?”
“I think that’s exactly what you are imagining, so please don’t ask.”
Rikocchi groans in annoyance, then quickly looks up and smiles.
“Then I’ll stop asking! If you don’t know, I don’t know anything.”
“Please do so.”
Rikocchi is really a good person.
I’m blessed to have her as my junior.
“So, Senpai. I have a guild meeting, so I’ll be going now.”
“What’s the meeting about?”
“Well, Senpai, there’s only one thing the PKK guild does.”
“Oh. Be careful.”
Rikocchi waves her hand in the air as she leaves.
Now, I’m going to work hard for my new rifle.
